Well I just learned that he was actually a defensive assistant for the Cowboys on the 93' super bowl team. After that he went to be the DC of the Bears from 93-98, Browns 99, Packers 04, and was with Shanahan in 07 & 08.

The reason I bring him up is that he is a member of the golf course I work at in Arizona and comes out to play A LOT. He is an extremely nice guy and it's refreshing to see him instead of some of these grumpy people all the time :). Next time I see him, I am going to have to ask him some questions about his time with the Cowboys.

There was a Slowik that had a cup of coffee in Dallas as a TE, wasn't there? In the last 4-6 years or something like that...

Yes, dont believe there's a relation to the coach however.

He left with Dave Wannstedt after the 92 season to be their defensive coordinator in Chicago.

It was the great Bob Slowikowski that was a 6th rounder for us, he didn't last long I don't think...

Oh, a Shanahan connection....That could lead to some interesting questions right there....
