I like to believe our Cowboys could win that Super Bowl, however I would have to say NO due to the following reasons.

1. The team played horrible the entire month of Dec.

2. Our Defense pash rush does not get the pressure the Giants do.

3. see 1. above. :bang2:

I'd think we'd have had a real shot but I agree we might not have been able to get nearly that pressure on Brady, in fact we likely would not have. We couldn't have put the pressure on that they did with just 4 or 5, we'd have had to send more and thus our coverage would have been in trouble.

Depends if spy-gate was at the forefront... this game, the Patriots got no momentum changing calls...

We would never have gotten that type of consistent pass-rush and been able to cover anybody.

We could have had a shot scoring with them maybe, but no way to we hold them to 14 IMO.

On offense, I think we had the talent to hang with the Pats and probably put more points on the board than the Giants did.

On defense, I think we had the talent to shut down the Pats, but not the scheme.

The Giants were more aggressive playing their corners than we are.

As for mentally, I don't think this team has the mental strength to compete with the Patriots. It showed from Crayton's drops to the offensive line's breakdowns against the Giants.

And we don't have a leader on defense like the Giants have in Strahan.

Simply put, no, we don't win that game.

No.

The G men brought pressure with front 4 and was able to drop 7. Most importantly, the pressure didn't just come from the flank...it came UP THE MIDDLE!!! Brady can't step up to make his throws. Without Fergie and a capable blitzing ILB, we don't get that inside pressure which disrupts his rythm.

oh.....our D allow Pats to convert what??? 60% of their 3rd downs.........

Defense wins Championships!

If we would have been playing well enough to get past the Giants and then the Packers then yes, I believe we would have beaten the Patriots as well.

Unfortunately, we weren't playing well enough to beat the Giants in the Divisional round so it didn't happen.

Did we stop committing penalties? Yesterday both teams combined had 9 penalties Dallas had more than that vs the Giants. I think we have the talent to win but players have to do better about not committing stupid penalties that cost you drives or keep the other teams drives alive

With a healthy TO and a healthy TG we could outscore them. No way we could get the pressure on Brady as we are now. I could see us winning 42-38 or something like that.

No doubt. We'd have had to play a near perfect game, for ourselves, to have won but I think we'd have had a shot.

No way in heck Cowboys beat the Pats with Roy Williams and Jaques Reeves.

Our secondary is way too weak to match up as well against the Patriots.

If we play to our potential, we have the talent and ability to beat any team in the league, any given week. Yes I think we could have won the game. Do I think we would have? No.

As other posters have said, we have got to stop the penalties, dropped passes, and other things. We cant beat ourself.

Next year better be our year. I dont want to be the Mavs of the NFL.

I don't think so.

Credit the DC. Spagnola? He didn't a great job of challenging those receivers
and bringing pressure at the right time.

We never challenged the receivers in man like that. Not against the Pats. And not against Greenbay. The Pats would have marched down the field, and we wouldn't have stayed in that zone with Roy and Jacques getting stripped of their dignity.

I'm happy the Giants won. Happy for the NFC.

we could. the pats had all the pressure with the perfect season and it eventually caught up to them. we did apply pressure to them when we played them in dallas so i think we could've rush the passer yesterday. guys like tank johnson, canty and ware were coming up strong towards the end of the season so yes we could've won. crayton catches one of the dropped passes vs the giants and it's us not them holding the throphy.

I think we could have scored with them; their D as has been shown is not all that.
