Anyone Understand Avoidance Code? (Michael Huff)

I just got done speaking with an agent from CAA who's name I'll keep to myself due to the current labor situation at his request.

The following is the criptive conversation I had:

ME: Do you believe any owners are taking advantage of the situation and contacting agents and players to at least set a value in a effort to get a jump on the competition once free agency does start?

AGENT: Oh sure, I have heard several cases already. It's cut throat market, teams are always looking for a competitive advantage and in the grand scheme of things, there is no reason they can't talk now. They are setting their own rules at this point.

ME: Anyone from CAA have conversations in the past 24 hours with the Cowboys regarding Michael Huff?

AGENT: I can't comment on that.

ME: So your answer is no, there has been no conversation between CAA and the Cowboys regarding Huff?

AGENT: That was not my answer, no, I would not say that.

ME: So there has been contact?

AGENT: Regarding?

ME: Contact between the Cowboys and CAA or Michael Huff regarding his status.

AGENT: I'm sorry, I can not answer that question

Muchael Huff would look great wearing the star. Even if he is not probowl caliber, he is a hell of a lot better than that crap we trotted out at safety last season.

Thanks guys, that was actually a fun conversation and it's funny. We were together on a party call and several lines dropped all at one time. In the end there was only 3 of us on the line and the other guy said he would come back.

After about 15 minutes no one called back in so we sat there and talked for like 30 minutes about football and the draft before he received a text saying our call was cancelled due to a storm in Tennessee.

Hopefully I made another contact but funny how things work out.
