I have to say I have been entertained so far. Gunther Cunningham is hilarous. I think they defintly upgraded the show since it was on the last time.

On a side note, people think Jerry coaches this team, did anyone see Carl Peterson on this show. Hes calling all the shots and Herm Edwards is kind of his puppet. The quote Peterson made on Dwayne Bowe "Im going to put him on the PUP," Herms response " Ohh absolutly, good decision." To Herm's credit though, if I was a player I can see I would want to play for him. Hes good with the players but is he a good enough coach? Any thoughts on the show....

BTW, the Chiefs are going to suck IMO. They have no QB and there lines arent very good. I like to see this Bowe play, he looks like an absolutle freak out of pads. The Chiefs signed Bobby Sippo, was that Bobby Sippo the one who dominated the Arena League this season I think for Chicago??

Herm Edwards is annoying in large doses...can't quite put my finger on it, perhaps it's his rah, rah act that seems too over the top.

Gun reminds me of Billy Bob in Bad Santa.

A agree about Herm. Don't know if he is like that all the time or if he is hamming it up some for the cameras. It was funny when he made that welcome to training camp sign and all of the players basically thought he was goofy for it.

:laugh2: @Gunther and Bad Santa.

I have to say though, this show so far seems much better than the one the cowboys did. Than again maybe it was because we were too interested in gleaning any info from that show at the time and this one is just for entertainment.

The prank with Brody was funny and also that two rookies in the room and that one guy sounding like a Grizzly on roids snoring.

So you are saying you wouldn't choose Larry Johnson or Gonzales on your fantasy team?

I like Herm, but every team he has taken over slides slowly but surely.

Agreed.

Having watched him here in NY, the deal was, he's a good during the week coach but not so good on Sundays.

His clock management was awful and he was conservative to a fault.

Former UT Longhorn and Philly Eagles OT Jerry Sisemore was frequently a guest on Austin sports talk radio, and he said all of his Eagles teammates hated Herm Edwards because he was a lockerroom politican and always self promoting himself in the media. That's what I always think about whenever I listen to Herm play for the cameras. Of course, he's hardly the only coach with those attributes (Jack Del Rio)

He iced his own kicker in the divisional playoffs against Pittsburgh. He took a timeout, and had Pennington take a knee. He is the absolute worst! Total clown. He took over a talented team in NY and by the time he left, they were in shambles. I think he is outright stealing from the NFL. Chief fans deserve better.

I dunno. Taking the Chiefs to the playoffs in his first year was pretty impressive to me, especially being in the AFC. I mean look at their team. Its so old across the board.

Consider that they backed into the playoffs last year after Denver couldn't beat the niners the last week of the season. Also, they were picked by many to go deep into the playoffs last season, LJ was supposed to have 2,000+ yards blah blah blah. Bottom line, teams get worse under Herm. And the worse they get the more Herm uses it to get contract extensions because "I need to rebuild".

The Chiefs do seem to have problems at QB, but who's to say at this time? I won't write off any team this time of the year.

The Kyle Turley situation will be interesting to watch. And Bowe is very intriguing.

This year's Hard Knocks is indeed better than the Cowboy version of 2002.

Brodie Croyle was having himself a doozy of a dream. Oh yeah, I mean, nice gag.

Does this still come on on HBO or what?
Yeah. It's pretty entertaining. That's how I thought the NFL Network was going to do their "Inside Training Camp" show.

Ill give the Chiefs credit on the fact theyre up front about the depth chart on the show. That is cool.

He inherited that team that went to the playoffs.

They were lifeless in the playoffs last year as well.

What was it, the second half before they even managed a first down against Indy?
