Anything Make You Optimistic for 2025?

No not really. Just hoping they can somehow have a good season since they don't have many of those. I don't see 11 wins happening though.

Aubrey...he helped win my fantasy league last season.....other than that not much except we wont be the worst team in the division....the Giants are out Cowboying us at this point.

I see so much negativity around here. Fans are discouraged, etcetera l, etcetera.

So here's my challenge. First, without mentioning anything about Jerry Jones, can you talk about anything you may be optimistic about? For me, I see an obvious rebuild taking place. Lots of new, younger faces coming. And then there's the draft position. It's not too bae at #12.

Overshown, even though he's injured, gives me a level of optimism because when I look at him on film, he looks like a man amongst boys even in the NFL. If he can stay healthy, I sense he may even be a super star level player. That batted pass for a TD was just unreal football focus. The possibility of seeing him with Parsons for the foreseeable future gives me optimism.

I'm also optimistic because we do so well with UDFAs, which gives us a slight edge there personnel wise.

The OL was developing last year and did surprisingly well.

I like that we brought back Dante Fowler. And added a player like Sanburn. I even like Jones as a depth player.

New coaches should be interesting to see as well.

What aspects of the 2025 Cowboys are you optimistic about?
Well, I’m hoping for a complete butt whipping this whole season! Wouldn’t be nice to 0-17 and lockup Arch Manning before Christmas!!!! C’mon man everybody say it at the same time: We can do it!!!!!!

I may be in the minority here, but I really like the way Schotty has put this coaching staff together. Everything has a fresher feel to it than the McCarthy years.

And while none of the ten players picked up in free agency or trade really move the needle, unlike last year at least the Cowboys did SOMETHING.

If they get a WR, RB, and CB in the first three rounds, in no particular order, I might even become cautiously optimistic for the 2025 season.

this isn't gonna be well received by some of our highly esteemed members, Stoney.

Let's put Arch Manning in the same situation that every Cowboys QB failed under for the past 30 years and expect different results.

Nothing changes here until the front office changes. And we know that isn't happening.

Pretty sure it gets a little less optimistic by the day.

One big difference, Arch Manning is legit!!!! It may take a season to plug other holes!!!

If we take DTs in rounds 1 and 2 or 3, the signings were fine. If not, they sucked. Not any more complicated than that.

I might take some heat over this but , the coaching staff
The Draft ( generally they draft well )
Not saying things will be fixed in a year

My optimism is based totally on luck.

When it comes to issues that loses games or/and talented players like illnesses, injury, bad refereeing, the bounce of a ball, etc.....I would say the Dallas Cowboys are at an extreme end of the side of luck that is not good. They have been there for quite some time.

If there is to be balance in the universe, the Law of Averages require a measurable adjustment.

That is the singular origin of my optimism.

How do the Cowboys accomplish this? Never underestimate the value of dumb luck. This is especially true if that is all you possess.

Case in point, two of the Cowboys future HOFers were the consolation prize from not getting the player that Jerry Jones wanted in the draft.

Speaking of the draft, this particular one is the only method by which the Cowboys can drastically improve other than the beforementioned dumb luck.

It's not going to be easy. The Cowboys have so many needs.

Stephen Jones has mentioned many of them. When it comes to drafting a QB, trust the Cowboys to wait until they have no choice and every other team knows that. The other 31 teams will have fun playing "keep away" for three solid days.

The Cowboys have to find a RB, WR, DT, LB and CB capable of starting or taking a serious percentage of snaps. They may need a QB capable of starting a group of games in the NFL.

This is going to take analytical expertise, precise assessment of specific needs, and impeccable negotiating skills during trades..........or a whole lot of dumb luck.

Pray fervently for the latter, laugh hysterically at the former.
