Anything Make You Optimistic for 2025?

I see so much negativity around here. Fans are discouraged, etcetera l, etcetera.

So here's my challenge. First, without mentioning anything about Jerry Jones, can you talk about anything you may be optimistic about? For me, I see an obvious rebuild taking place. Lots of new, younger faces coming. And then there's the draft position. It's not too bae at #12.

Overshown, even though he's injured, gives me a level of optimism because when I look at him on film, he looks like a man amongst boys even in the NFL. If he can stay healthy, I sense he may even be a super star level player. That batted pass for a TD was just unreal football focus. The possibility of seeing him with Parsons for the foreseeable future gives me optimism.

I'm also optimistic because we do so well with UDFAs, which gives us a slight edge there personnel wise.

The OL was developing last year and did surprisingly well.

I like that we brought back Dante Fowler. And added a player like Sanburn. I even like Jones as a depth player.

New coaches should be interesting to see as well.

What aspects of the 2025 Cowboys are you optimistic about?
No, I see nothing to think optimistically about when it comes to the Cowboys, not currently.

Yes, Everything about the new upcoming season makes me optimistic, even if we had the same coaching staff as last season

I’m excited to see how these former first rounders play. Like you said we got a lot of fresh faces and a lot of those fresh faces play to their draft status then that’s something to optimistic about.

When I want to feel optimistic I look at the Vikings last year and Sam Darnold. A change in scenery brought out the best in him. I’m optimistic a change is scenery will bring out the best in a couple of those 1st rounders.

Yeah, Jerry is about to publicly die on a hill with Dak Prescott and a puppet coach.

Fully deserves whats coming as it was his own creation.
I can not wait to watch this. Jerry might have a stroke answering questions or better yet go dark and not show his face in public

Maybe he will tint the windows in the owner's box

Overshown is an all pro in the making. It would be a long shot he stays healthy, but I'll hope against hope.
He “was” an all pro in the making. I would be beyond surprised if he returns to the form we saw this past season. It’s possible he may never play another down for the Cowboys if he misses this upcoming season.

He'll be back. The question is how long before he reinjures, not whether or not he'll come back at all. It's obviously anecdotal but I had this conversation with a surgeon who works in sports medicine. I'm taking her word for it and his rehab appears to be going well. Like I said ill hope against hope he can remain healthy overall. Don't get me wrong, I realize the odds.

He may be back but if it’s in 2026 that will be two of his first three seasons totally gone. That alone is bound to stunt his development. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see him returning to great form.

Aubrey becomes the first kicker to complete the quintuple:

1. Kicks longest FG in NFL history.

2. Passes for a TD off a fake FG.

3. Rushes for a TD off a fake FG.

4. Dropkicks a FG.

5. Dropkicks an XPA.

If he’s doing all of this, that means our O is not getting it done.
