I can't recall hearing anything at all about 7th round LB Will Smith since draft day. Anyone know anything about this guy? Has anything been reported about him in OTAs and/or mini camp?

In before Fresh Prince references.

I watched some of his college games. He looked good to me and I'm surprised that the didn't get drafted a little earlier. He had good measureables with the only negative being that he's a little light at 231 pounds.

Broaddus said that he looked smooth and appeared to have a good feel for things based on the OTA practices. He listed him a one of the players that he very intrigued with.

Have you seen the new LB they signed? I think his name is Carlton Banks.

Carlton Banks?

Supposed to be very good in coverage which is a must in this defense. Good hitter and sideline to sideline speed.

Not really anything on anyone at this point. We'll see in a few weeks when camp starts, though its going to be hard to find good reporting since it'll all be DFW guys doing it for the most part.

The ticket and The Fan usually have guys there also, so you can get reports from them throughout the day too. Only thing is, being on the west coast, not much to listen in the mornings, except the previous days news, but that's ok.

I'm sure the ticket morning musers will have their usual deal and bits. As well as gordo walking around with the mike, asking silly but funny questions. Most players have a sense of humor, go along with it.

I'm setting up a special Twitter list to get just camp updates on one feed.

Based on "After Earth" and "Winter's Tale," I'd say he's a bust.

Yes, I'm talking about OUR Will Smith since some fans use about as much evidence to start calling players busts before their careers even really get going.

All I've seen was Drafftek's take on him when he was drafted:

"My youngest son is going to Texas Tech . . . I have watched and graded multiple Texas Tech games . . . and the only Will Smith I know is an actor! Of course, that gives him something in common with the Cowboys' Scouting Department and Front Office . . . they are actors as well!"

And lest you guys attempt to discount the source, the same source stated the following about Ahmed Dixon:

"Good value and a hard-hitting SS; however, Dallas needs a true center-fielder FS. Dixon also has some issues (notice I didn't refer to him as a criminal element) and goes counter to HC Jason Garrett's "RKG" (Right Kinda Guy) personality requirement. Nevertheless, he should be hell on wheels on special teams and what more do you expect from Pick #248 in the 7th? "

I had an uncle who was a High School football coach in Texas. He told me a joke when the SW Conference was in a high tide:

Know why no kids want to play for Texas Tech?

They have tee tee on their helmets.

Im a homer tech fan and barley knew the guy was on our team. Not saying he wont be good just throwing my 2 cents in.

Will Smith had 120 tackles and was MVP of the Holliday Bowl. Maybe it's you.
