Enough of Alan Ball. He's gotta be the worst FS in the NFL...by a longshot. Give the kid a chance.

Agree? Disagree?

disagree, coaches would know if AOA were ready to start, disagree that ball is the worst in the league but he isnt the upgrade over hamlin that they were all saying he would be

I highly doubt he's anywhere close to starting in the nfl.

But alan ball is just plain awful. I agree. One of the worst starting safeties in the league.

Normally I would say no way...But with as poorly as Ball has played, I honestly believe it couldn't hurt at this point. I agree we should at least consider it, and maybe try him out in a game or two to see how he does...We already know Ball and Hamlin are not the answers.

Isn't this sort of thinking what got us into this situation in the first place?

Somebody point me to where Ball played terrible today? Was he good? I don't think so. Those deep balls were not his fault. Scandrick and Jenkins get all the blame for that.

My main complaint from him which isn't really a complain is what happens when its time for him to tackle a running back. He's not making plays there. And I never expected him too. He's smaller than some of our cornerbacks.

What I can't believe is that it's 2010 and we still have not addressed the safety position. It seems like it's been like 7 years since we had good plays from the safeties.

No, because I don't think Ken Hamlin was any better either. What got us to this point was not addressing the need to find a free agent safety or draft one higher than we did in the off-season.

I really like AOA, but coming from a small college and trying to transition to the speed of the NFL is a huge step. I don't know if he is ready or not, but I would be willing to find out at this point.

Right now I don't care who gets replaced as a starter. Will it matter much in the end?

I say start the rookie alan ball is horrible...he cant be worse then ball...missing tackles and getting lost out there AOA cant be that bad and he's faster i say let him play

This team hasn't had a decent safety since ***gulp***, #31

Sensabaugh is giving us better play than Roy gave us. We gotta go back to about 7 years to get Vintage non-liability Roy.

agreed sensabaugh does look solid out there i say trade choice for a young solid free safety cant think of where yet but its teams that can use some of this "talent" that we suppose to have lol .....and to think we could've gotten a 2nd rounder for marty bennett last year lmao
