Do Commanders Fans Want Joe Gibbs Fired?

Commanders coach Joe Gibbs is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, and when Dan Snyder brought Gibbs back in 2004, it was like Commanders fans had been handed a gift from God.

But gifts from God are only as good as their last game, and after the Commanders lost their last game, Thomas Boswell of the Washington Post wrote an interesting column about the Commanders in the second Gibbs era. Suffice to say, these aren't the 1980s and 1990s Commanders.

Forget the mystique, the Hall of Fame bust and even, to some small degree, the city's debt of gratitude. Right now, it looks like Joe Gibbs is right when he keeps insisting he's part of the problem. The Commanders can't hold second-half leads, can't beat division foes at home, can't avoid waves of mental mistakes, don't play with late-game poise, can't manage timeouts and can't come up with the right calls on the goal line with the game on the line. Not even when they get six chances in a row.
There seems to be a growing feeling that maybe the second Gibbs era simply isn't going to work, and that it's time to bring it to an early end, and a whole lot of Commanders fans would be more than happy to see Gibbs gone for good. But there's one big problem: Does anyone really trust Dan Snyder to choose the right replacement?

the guys on FOXSports radio were just blasting, trashing and genuinely making fun of Gibbs this a.m., and one of them I know is a diehard Commanders fan...I think the other guy is too, but am not 100% sure...Czaban guy is a huge Skin fan, and he just ripped Gibbs left and right today
