ROUND 1
TRADE with Minnesota for RD2 '15 RD4 '15 and Adrian Peterson
The RD2 and RD4 picks Dallas gets back leave about 154 pts. Which would mean Dallas is giving Minnesota a low RD3 value in Adding Peterson to the Trade.
ROUND 2(MINN)
Shaq Thompson LB Washington
Thompson is the type of player that this defense can play in many different posistions and situations. From the WILL to nickle backer, and Spread him out wide to cover the TE's and RBs teams are splitting out in todays NFL. He is a perfect fit for this defense and wouldnt be rushed to start with Durant still on the team. Let him play the packages and ST his rookie yr and compete in 2016 with Durant. Thing for me that puts Thompson over Dawson is Thompson can cover WRs.
Alternative: Paul Dawson LB TCU
Slower weaker than Thompson, was put in better situations than Thompson by defensive scheme, which is why i think Dawson has better stats.
ROUND 2
Michael Bennett DT Ohio State
Great off the snap, keeps low and fights off blows with his hands. Something Tyrone Crawford still doesnt seem to do. Played both Tackle spots and showed he could handle the double teams at the 1tech. Can rotate with Crawford and then come in on them 3rd and longs when Dallas only rushes for and can create pressure up the gut.
ROUND 3
Garrett Grayson QB Colorado State
Tony Romo is going to be 35 in April, while nobody expects him not to be starting for atleast a couple more yrs, Weeden was bad and couldnt run the offense. Grayson can backup and develop.
ROUND 4 (MINN)
Ladarius Gunter DB Miami
Good height and Weight. Plays the ball and disrupts routes. Has played the single high safety spot for the Hurricanes too. Another versatile player for this defense that can play CB and FS in packages and play special teams.
ROUND 4
Rob Havenstein OT Wisconsin
After what he showed at the combine, its clear he needs to get into the weight room. The good thing is he doesnt need to be pushed into the lineup for a couple yrs. But i think he could jump in the lineup for some spot starts as a rookie if needed. Would feel more comfortable with him at the swing tackle spot then i would Weems.
ROUND 5
Hayes Pullard LB USC
Patient and smart. Doesnt over pursue and played in this defense while at USC. Nice player in coverage and has played MIKE and WILL for the trojans. Very Nice depth for this defense and solid ST player.
