We all need to quit looking at the logo on the helmet and\or the tradition of a particular team and pick the outcome based on that.
People see Oklahoma, or Texas, ... USC, UCLA, Penn St., Ohio St, Florida, Georgia or Michigan and just assume that since they have had a successful program or tradition in the past that they will win the game.
Everybody in the media not only said WVU would lose, but they always kind of chuckled when they said it, .. like they did not have a prayer.
We here in WV knew we still had a great football team this season, even though we stumbled against Pitt. (it is a rival game and it is kind of like stumbling against a weaker divisional rival for Dallas)
WV gets little national respect because they do not have the long-standing tradition of winning like the schools mentioned above, but maybe if they continue to win they will.
WV has been one of the top 10 teams in the country each yr lately.
This is our third consecutive 11 win season, and our third consecutive bowl win. We have played in January 5 yrs in a row.
We have a good program going now. It may continue, it may not.
I think we could have beaten any team in the country last night.
Since everyone was saying that OU had the best team in the country leading up to the game last night, this was our National Championship game.
Too bad it wasn't the real one.
