Before Mahomes showed up McCarthy was on a higher pedestal then Reid because he had won a Super Bowl and was 2nd only to Belichick in playoff wins for an active coach.

But Reid and Veech saw his talent and picked him after a few teams that needed a QB passed on him. And Mahomes is perfect for Reid’s system. You think Mahomes had the same career arc if drafted by us?

HE is currently 23rd in QB rating
HE is currently 22nd in TDs
HE LEADS THE NFL IN INTERCEPTIONS
14th in YPA so he is above average there

so once again tell me Mahomes is not below average overall
