Ok well. Dez is gone. A lot of people here seemed to think WR would be a RD1 priority. I was one of them. I am not thinking that way now. This is how I see the draft and the week leading up to the draft happening.
First.
Earl Thomas is coming here. I think its just a formality at this point.
We give up our 4th this year plus Bease. We save on cap and Seattle gets a perfect WR for their QB and system.
After this trade this is the draft I see happening. Or would like to happen at the very least.
19: R1P19
LB RASHAAN EVANS
ALABAMA
A sideline to sideline LB who is an absolute beast. Would slide right in and be a day 1 starter on this team.
50: R2P18
DL TIM SETTLE
VIRGINIA TECH
Plugs up the middle and is one of the most athletic DTs in this draft.
81: R3P17
WR MICHAEL GALLUP
COLORADO STATE
Dak friendly defined. This guy catches everything thrown his way, is a solid route runner, and is dangerous after the catch.
137: R4P37
G MAEA TEUHEMA
SE LOUISIANA
Line depth
171: R5P34
OT BRANDON PARKER
NORTH CAROLINA A&T
A possible starter but needs some work, so could be a good depth signing for this team
192: R6P18
LB NICK DELUCA
NORTH DAKOTA STATE
A tackling machine who just has a nose for the ball runner and lays the wood
193: R6P19
WR DAURICE FOUNTAIN
NORTHERN IOWA
Blew up his pro day and could spend a year on the practice squad and come out next season after we hopefully part ways with Twill
208: R6P34
CB BRANDON FACYSON
VIRGINIA TECH
A long lanky CB for our DC in waiting to groom
236: R7P18
RB PHILLIP LINDSAY
COLORADO
Perfect compliment for zeke. A punishing runner who can continue to lay the wood on defenders when spelling Zeke.
As always let me know what you think.
