1st round. Derrick Brown falls out of top ten. Dallas trades with Las Vegas landing #12 and #81 giving up #17 and 2nd in 2021.
12. Derrick Brown DT Auburn - considered best run stopper in the draft and can also play the NT spot. Relentless player who seems to always disrupt the backfield.
52. Denzel Mims WR Baylor - somewhat a surprise needing a CB but McCarthy loves the combination of Cooper, Gallup and Mims.
65. Bryce Hall CB Virginia - A surprising trade as Dallas wants to move up for Hall and Cincinnati needs an OG desperately to protect Burrows and with taking Josh Jones OT at the top of the 2nd. Dallas agrees to trade Connor Williams LG and 3rd round comp in 2021 for #65, #181 and 2nd in 2021. Hall, if not injured half way through the season probably ends up late 1st/early 2nd round pick. His the measurables, long arms and can play press or off the man.Makes plays on the ball. Should start as a rookie.
81. Tyler BIadasz OC Wisconsin - perfect guy to take over for the departed Frederick, has the talent and ability to start day one, makes the line calls, good run and pass blocker, always slids to help when needed. He will allow Dallas to make McGovern the starter at LG. Line should be as good as ever.
82. Jeremy Chinn S Southern Illinois - great size, speed and hitting ability, probably becomes the starting SS with Clinton-Dix and Woods alternating at the FS spot. Believe he last until 3rd or 4th due to small college but very underrated kid.
123. Trevis Gipson DE Tulsa - raw although very talented, plays every down like his last, nice bend and speed should learn from Smith and could be a good rotational piece.
165. Leki Fotu NT Utah - if he falls to the 5th, a no brainer pick for McCarthy, big, fast, great run stopper and can disrupt the backfield very well, has some pass rush ability also, requires a double team like Brown, should be a great pairing with Brown, McCoy and Poe.
181. Trey Adams OT Washington - a once thought to be a 1st round high pick and perennial all pro although some medical concerns but at this point worth the risk.
231.Reggie Robinson II CB Tulsa - very productive despite not great speed, really a ball magnet so might be our new Everson Walls guy
UDFA:
Ben Bartch OG St. John's
Quintez Cephus WR WIsconsin
Michael Warren II RB Cincinnati
Trevon Hill DE Miami
Thaddeus Moss TE LSU
Michael Turk P Arizona St.
Dominique Ross LB North Carolina
James Pierre CB Florida Atlantic
Steven Montez QB Colorado
