The Cowboys are likely to use the second-round tender on restricted free agent tight end Blake Jarwin, which should cost around $3.3 million, according to sources. The Cowboys spoke with Jarwin’s agent, Kelli Masters, last week at the combine about a potential long-term deal. Also, it appears the Cowboys will tender backup quarterback Cooper Rush, which would cost about $2.1 million. Both players were undrafted free agents in 2017.

Assuming they are going to tender Jarwin because he is a lower priority so if another teams attempts to sign him they have the option to match or let him walk.

IMO they should let Rush walk.

A 2nd round tender on jarwin makes me think they like him enough to be the starter in 2020.

I'd say that's correct. You don't give him that tender unless you think he's the starter.

It's getting to the point now that the only thing I like about this team is that our head coach is fat. Thank God for that.

No problem with Jarwin... I saw enough last year to justify on giving this kid a chance in the Cowboys offense. The money we save by cutting Witten can go towards Jarwin.
