IRVING, Texas – The second session of organized team activities that was open to the media was on Tuesday, and here are some observations:

** Kyle Wilber worked with the first team at right defensive end with DeMarcus Ware out. Tyrone Crawford handled that spot in the first week that was open to the media. Wilber had a productive day. He was active and was around the ball. Remember, he was going against Tyron Smith, too. Wilber did a nice job reading a reverse to WR Terrance Williams.

** Dwayne Harris turned into a tremendous punt returner last year and he took the first-team work on Tuesday, but later he was joined by Cole Beasley, B.W. Webb and Anthony Amos.

** Teams sometimes shy away from putting starters on special teams, so it was interesting to see Sean Lee and Bruce Carter on the punt coverage team. Lee served as the personal protector.

** Morris Claiborne came up with a nice interception of a Kyle Orton throw on a slant-and-go to Miles Austin. Claiborne did not bite on the fake and was able to stay underneath the route to come up with the turnover.

I'd rather not have Sean Lee or Bruce Carter on the punt coverage team -- talk about playing with fire.

Im not to crazy about that idea either, but this is the OTA's so I think they are just giving various players diffrent looks.

Saw that 'flash' part and did wonder for a moment. But then it is archer...

Particulary liked the "Dez beat his man on every play" comment.

Very good for Dez, not so much if you are a Brandon Carr fan.

The way I read it on twitter was that no DB would've been able to stop Bryant. Carr even praised him for it in an article somewhere

If nothing else, JG was quoted in the tweets thread after one particular play that made me jealous I couldn't see it.

Dez Bryant just ran a slant to perfection. Jason Garrett: "Love it, love it, love it! Damn does that look good!"

Gotcha. I'm a Carr fan so I don't take it as Carr is bad....Dez is just a monster and this is the year that he becomes clearly the #2 WR in the NFL.

Better than Fitz and Johnson?

Brandon Marshall was a monster last year too.

AJ Green and Julio Jones can certainly make that nig step in their 3rd season too.

We know who #1 is.

If we got a WR better than Fitzgerald that's the player teams have to literally game plan for.

Dez easily top 5 WR this year, 2nd after Calvin would make him a top 10-15 overall player in the league because Fitz is definitely in that range.

Why stop at #2? :)

I hope you're right.

Hard to have both...one wins and one loses..hard to shut down and also have nice completion on the same play

That was my take as well. Dez just keep taking it to another level.

Fitz and Johnson (Andre) are declining, Brandon Marshall had a good year bc Cutler targeted him 99% of the time. Julio could very well jump up with Dez and be the #2 WR next yr but Roddy will drag his chances down. AJ is good too but not physical enough to jump into the top 2.

I get the concern on those two specific players, but you don't see good special teams units that don't use good players.

Agreed. I have no problems with (quality) starters on special teams... I just would prefer to avoid it with these two guys who both exited last season on injured reserve.

Well B Carr is gonna get that much better by being pushed by a tremendous talent in Dez as opposed to covering inferior receivers all day in practice....

I agree. Some guys just excel there and their starting position like Woodson did. Some guys just don't need to be out there even if they do well at it.
