Pickens dropping down to do push-ups alongside Lamb is an absolutely great accountability drill. Having your team mate willingly suffer the consequences of your mistake magnifies the bond and importance of the event. I like this and wish more of the players would adopt this. Good for Pickens!

James was the worst pick. We should have looked for a TE with that pick.

Why would we need another TE? particularly a later round TE that would have little shot to make the roster?

A 5th round TE was not going to be any better than any of the current top 4. Unless they really surprised.
Which is no different that a LB, which was a needed position to draft as well. James was considered a higher pick, like a 2nd or 3rd round, if not for an injury.

Spot on. Personally I want Thomas to flat win that spot. We need Bland outside.

I read they also had Mukuamu playing it, so one of those two. I agree that Thomas may be the best option. He's obviously going to play the run and pass rush physically as a safety, so it's just a question if he can handle the nickel coverage responsibilities.
