Once again, I stuck with the offensive side of practice, while Brian Davis had the defense.

And we're off:

** Tempo is extremely important to OC Jason Garrett. He wants his guys in and out of the huddle. The Cowboys were so fast that they had to sit and watch the defense go vs. the Broncos' offense for about 15 minutes in the morning and afternoon workouts.

** There are a ton of bunnies around the Broncos' facility. One was brave enough to chew on some grass about four feet away from Tony Romo's post-practice press conference. Unfortunately one of the bunnies wasn't able to get away from a hawk, who swooped in for some prey. More Animal Planet talk on the way.

** Wide receiver Miles Austin had two drops in individual drills, prompting a scolding from receivers coach Ray Sherman and Romo. He did have a nice snare in team portions, pulling a Romo pass away from corner Karl Payman.

** After going 2-of-7 in the morning during team drills, Romo was 9-of-14 in the afternoon.

** Right guard Leonard Davis just collapsed Broncos defensive end Jarvis Moss (Denton Ryan) to give some help to Pat McQuistan on a Romo pass, but later he was beaten by Kenny Peterson on a Romo throw to Isaiah Stanback.

**Martellus Bennett put together back to back solid practices, and he caught the eye of owner and GM Jerry Jones. Bennett was particularly good as a point of attack blocker, but he also had a catch down the middle of the field after running a crisp route the gave him separation from the safety.

** Running back Alonzo Coleman had a sweet one-handed grab of a swing pass from Richard Bartel. Jones said it was Coleman's second one hander of the day.

Let's see, Romo was 9 of 14....so....according to some on here, he had five terrible plays vs 9 good ones.

So he had a great practice....

I think....
