Are Mike and Jerry at odds?

I have a feeling that there has been no word on Kellen Moore's future, due to Mike and Jerry being at odds with each other on the matter. I think Mike wants Kellen gone, and Jerry, of course, wants him back. The solution to this problem will tell us just how much coaching authority Mike really has. If both Mike and Jerry wanted him back, that would have been announced yesterday; and, vice versa, if they both wanted him gone, that would have also been announced. Let's see how this plays out.

Or they are trying to secure his successor.

What evidence do you have that MM has a problem with Kellen. I would have more issues with Dak after watching the game with San Francisco. Take away the turnovers and the injury to Pollard the Cowboys were in control of the game.

I just remember when Mike was in GB he said he’d never give up playcalling duties again then he comes to Dallas and starts spouting BS about Kellen being his idea and choice and everyone bought it.. lol

They likely won't specifically announce that Moore is staying. It would likely be announced when they hire a new OL and RB coach.

If Moore is fired, then that will come out immediately.

With Kellen, there is a lot to process which is why it's taken this long. His replacement is likely already on staff too so they have the option to take their time to take a look at it. Kellen's obviously football intelligent and understands the game. His offenses have consistently performed in the elite category in terms of statistics. But he has a lot of warts in situational play calling, and it's showed up on tape for years and has hurt the team. His inconsistency really bothers me. One week, he'll call an absolutely perfect game and then the next it's draw plays and curls, and no motion at all.

Yeah. 20 year playcaller who would never relinquish playcalling. Gets fired, unemployed for a year and cons Jerry with talk of film study and analytics.

Oh yeah and like Wade with JG, Kellen was a part of the package deal for him to get the job.

Now it's at a point where I think he's scared to call plays and wants his guy Macadoo to take over instead. May be behind the scenes lobbying/trying to sell Jerry on it.

Still TBD I guess.

The reality is none of us know anything about the situation. It's only speculation from anyone on this board.

Now, if I were to say I have the feeling that I will never win the lottery because I don't play the lottery, you can take that as a fact.

It’s pretty clear that they are looking at other options.
