Mike is the new Tom Landry so I’m sure it’s all good.

I just remember when Mike was in GB he said he’d never give up playcalling duties again then he comes to Dallas and starts spouting BS about Kellen being his idea and choice and everyone bought it.. lol
Right. Mike had no history with Kellen Moore but somehow Kellen was one of the only coaches that kept his job.

Just as a general reminder for those who didn't watch the game and/or are such Prescott fans that they will throw anyone and everyone under the bus to make him look good: SF scored 6 points off turnovers. The offense turned it over twice and SF only got 2 FG's. Dallas got the ball off a turnover in FG range and only got a FG.

If you take away points off turnovers, the game was 13-9.

if your takeaway was that the defense failed, you are brain damaged. Its just that simple. Brain. Damaged.

I have a feeling that there has been no word on Kellen Moore's future, due to Mike and Jerry being at odds with each other on the matter. I think Mike wants Kellen gone, and Jerry, of course, wants him back. The solution to this problem will tell us just how much coaching authority Mike really has. If both Mike and Jerry wanted him back, that would have been announced yesterday; and, vice versa, if they both wanted him gone, that would have also been announced. Let's see how this plays out.
No the reason I believe is that they are waiting to see if a team picks up Moore. It looks bad if they fire him and he is interviewing for a position. Believe me Jerry or Mike don’t want him back. Did you see Jerry? It looked like he was ready to die. No way Moore comes back!!

McCarthy was going to accept anything Jerry wants to get to coach the most valuable franchise in sports. MM even told Jerrry and stephen he did analytics and watched every cowboy game blah blah. All lies. He wanted to get the job at any cost. The price is obedience and accepting Jerry's demands and whims, which include his affinity to Kellen. Now there is a debate due to the outrage about the 12 point fiasco and loss against the 49ers.
Jerry likes the flux and the talk around town and on national media. Seems they are looking at options . But it is not MM's decision by any means. MM is a glorified trainer. No one will miss him if Quinn takes over tommorow. MM does not coach the defense nor the offense nor the Special Teams. He is the bus driver and the one that will take the blame for losses. Not jerry.
As mentioned in a DMN article, after the loss to the 49ers, only 6 media persons showed up to see what MM had to say , the rest were swirling around Jerry . SMH

That feeling.......yeah it's probably just gas.

Your jumping to conclusions. Nervous speculation. It's January 28th. Relax.

I actually think McCarthy made up that line about Jerry telling him he wanted him to be there as long as Landry. My guess is that McCarthy gets the feeling they are ready to force him out, especially with how they are letting go of a lot of his assistants. It was his chance to put out a narrative that will make Jerry look foolish when they do get rid of him at some point

I trust your instincts on this.

Tell me which method you used to discover these secrets:

  • Read the tea leaves
  • Went to a psychic on the service road on SB-35
  • Threw down some chicken bones and saw the future
  • Pact with the devil for top secret cowboy info.

Well we can only speculate, but we dont know mike wants him gone. Changing OC's next year is a huge risk. Mike has a down year and hes fired. They wont wait till hes a lame duck. Likely they are revamping the staff with moore at the helm. Maybe giving moore some help to develop the run game better?

What evidence do you have that MM has a problem with Kellen. I would have more issues with Dak after watching the game with San Francisco. Take away the turnovers and the injury to Pollard the Cowboys were in control of the game.
2 and 2 from the 49ers 18 yard line late in the 2nd quarter, Kellen Moore calls a pass play which spreads out 4 receivers that resulted in an INT, instead of simply running the ball to gain 2 yards on 2 tries to get a 1st down and continue to try to run out the remaining time and score a TD. Kellen Moore has done this over and over the past 2-3 seasons.

Bad throw by Dak on that play bro, CeeDee was bracketed. On 2nd and 2 you should pass the ball you got San Francisco on their heals. You really want those retreads running our offense? I don’t.

I was stoked about MM comments on Km beeing “evaluated”. but friday went by with no news.

at this point i think KM will be staying and announced on monday.

isn’t it weird everyone who may have had issues with the OC were “not extended”. (Skip pete, Philibin etc)

I heard on 105.3 “The Fan” that the NFL discourages teams from making huge announcements right before the conference championships. So either way, an announcement may not come until Monday. We all know how BIG any Cowboys news is to the media. I bet a decision has already been made and they are just keeping it under wraps until then.
Having said that, if Moore stays I will have less respect for McCarthy and believe it’s really a Jerry move. I don’t believe for one minute a Head Coach who’s won a Super Bowl, and called plays for so many years, really wanted the inexperienced Kellen Moore calling plays for him. He simply inherited him to get the job because he knew Moore was Jerry’s pet cat.

Under normal circumstances you could say that one of the Cowboys turnovers cost the Cowboys points. So it could have been 13-12, or Dallas wins 15-13 if they got a TD.

Well they just got rid the rest of Mike's cronies so I don't think Mike's calling the shots. Maybe their waiting for KM to see if he can land a HC job or he's welcome back? Im sure there aren't a lot of OC's who want to come here a deal with Dak's limitations.
If Payton doesn't land a job you can bet the farm if MM doesn't get to the dance next year he's toast. Payton first choice and Quinn back-up.
