Are The Commanders No Longer Our Most Hated Rival?

It really isn't a rivalry or even a competition when one side is contantly whooping up on the other one.

However over the past decade or so it seems that we've developed some pretty bad blood with the Giants. Constantly a war or words in the media. They spray painted our locker room and hung their jock straps on our walls in 2007, Jacobs humping the star, Eli signing the wall of the new stadium.

As a diehard, I can honestly say that I feel more animosity towards the G-Men than any other team in our division. I hate Philly but thats more because of their fans and just a general disdain for that entire city.

So is it still Washington? Or has the Giants now become the team that you circle on your calender every year.

Don't really hate the giants, but of course i don't like seeing them win. There's just something about the Commanders that makes losing to them absolutely painful, every matchup is extremely close and something weird/magical always happens.

Eagles are a close 2nd.

For me, the Eagles have sprinted right on up to the top of the "Most Hated Rival" heap ... elevating themselves to the #1 spot by stepping on John Mara's head, as he has been strongly leading his Giants team there.

Pretty neck 'n' neck between the Egals and Gnats, in my eyes. I refuse to say I don't still hate the Skins, it's just the past few years I've grown to hate the other two so much more.

The Skins are just so awful, so obnoxious, that its easy to hate them. First place goes to them. The Eagles are twice as obnoxious, but they manage to win games, so second place to them. Like others here, I hold a grudging respect for what the Giants have done. Beating the Pats, who I also hate, puts them in the least-hated spot. Doesn't mean I don't hate them - I do! I spit on their shadow - Ptuie!!!

That being said, Commanders fans are still the most obnoxious. More so than Eagles fans, in my opinion.

Well, my personal most hated is the Eagles. By a lot.

But the Cowboys most hated rival will always be the Commanders. It's down right now because the teams have struggled. Once they start playing meaningful games against each other again it'll eclipse any of the passion you've seen from Eagles and Giants games.

Other than Brandon Jacobs, I really have a of of respect for the Giants. They have won 2 SBs in the last few years against all odds, after barely making the playoffs, and beaten the heavily favored Patriots both times.

I still hate the Commanders but the Eagles have taken their place as my MOST HATED TEAM. There is nothing to respect about them (except Andy Reid) or the majority of their fans.

I LOVE that after all their talk the past 25 years or so they STILL have nothing to show for it. :trophy:

Super bowl winners go into NFL lore and I can't stand the fact that the Giants somehow snuck in twice recently.

I most certainly get all of that, Clove. The Deadskins and Squealers are carved in stone as hate-worthy, from a 'Boys fan perspective. That will never, ever change for most longtime, diehard Cowboys fans. How could it be otherwise?

We may differ on our most recent targets of contempt -- mine being the Egals followed by the Gnats (mostly because of John Mara), but those two you posted about will ALWAYS be there on the list of "Most Hated." They deserve a pinned sticky all their own on that list.
