Whats your thoughts on this topic?

The 2nd guy knows what he is talking about.

Just because your team is what it is early in the year doesnt mean it can't change during the season.

Since 2003 the best regular season team has not gone to the Superbowl.

Its ALL about getting hot in late December.

Carry on panicking.

Only if they saw a great white today at the beach.

Oh, they did ... Ryan's stomach.

Gone or won? 07 Pats went.

Anyways. Only bringing this up bc this is a point I bring up often and it's actually something I really don't like about the nfl. It's stupid to me that the best team almost never wins these days.

So the Cowboys are in panic mode because some media mouthpiece is?

This is the one thing that gives me a little hope, if the new FAs are not duds and nobody gets injured and Costa improves greatly along with the defense, then the team might push for a wild card,,, that's a lot of ifs though.

So you are saying that the team got worse from last year. Because the way I remember it, we pushed for a division title last year with a defense that was horrible, especially the back end of it and an OL that very suspect. So unless we got tremendously worse in those two areas, I would expect for us to push for another divison title, not a wild card. And if I remember the offseason we just had, we addressed both of those weaknesses from last year. We brought in 2 FA OL, moved Smith to LT and Free back to RT, so opening night, the only one returning from last year's OL in the same spot will be Costa, and the defensive back field got a huge over haul with both FA and Draft. No way we do worse than 10 - 6 this year. I am thinking 11-5 and possible 12-4. Call me crazy but I see big improvement from the team last year and we lost 5 games in the 4th Q.

When is the last time this team "got hot" late in December?

...............PLUS... ROMO had a career year last year with that POS offensive line!

I'm with you.

Who is that first guy? What a tool!

Of the injuries suffered, the only ones that are season ending are McSurdy, who was going to the PS anyway, and Nagy, who wasn't a lock to make the roster.

Almost all of the injured players are expected back within the next week, so if we are over our injury bug, we very well could enter the season pretty healthy and with the projected OL getting a couple weeks of work in together. It's not ideal, but it's far from panic mode at this time.

The Cowboys have not panicked it shows by them not going out and getting another center and spending future picks to do that. They are waiting and will get a released vet with time in camp so they will be football ready.

Much like Robinson last year he was football ready having spent time in Training Camp.

Also if you looked at the Giants last year they had a ton of injuries they never panicked got guys healthy at the end of the year and went on a great run.

When this team panics they have made stupid decisions cough cough RoyW trade cough cough Marion barber contract (as recent examples)

why panic if you didn't expect much this year before the rash of injuries?

Haven't been a fan very long huh?? We're Cowboys fans...we always expect much!

Every season people make their predictions based on what they see early in preseason. Every season people are proven wrong. Let's just wait and see. The teams you think are great could bomb (Eagles last year) and the teams you think are bums could rise. That's why they play the games. I'm so excited for this season to start. Let's agree to disagree about stuff. Then let's all unite when it comes to our Cowboys. How's that?

only since 1960. my annual expectations have declined quite a bit in recent years.

The year we beat Philly in the playoffs.

We may never get over the hump but as long as we have Romo there is a chance. Regardless off what is around him.
