You have to love his homer tendencies, but this team has a way to go, before you put them in the unstoppable category.

Seeing the signs, but want to see more against really good teams before I go that far.

He didn't actually say that this team was unstoppable. He said something along the lines of, If this team continues to do what they are doing on offense, if they continue to be able to run the ball this way, the Offense will be unstoppable.

I would like this conversation to happen the night after this season's Super Bowl and the Cowboys won..

"They were UNSTOPPABLE" last night. Until then, Don't mean a lick of nothing.

agaisnt bad teams, greatly so, against really good teams, yet to be determined. But as i said, get your stuff fixed early, and maybe this year Dallas has. The SF game doesnt bother me., but this team needs a legit contender to answer to.

If we can have this type of performance against seattle, than we can have this discussion. Otherwise it is too early.
I honestly don't see why they wouldn't be able to.

Even last year I thought that Dallas matches up well with Seattle. That game will come down to who wins the turnover battle and whether or not Cowboys skill guys can win their one-on-one battles offensively.

I dont think the Seahawks have played a team with a GREAT running game in quite some time, atleast not this year or last years Super Bowl run.

I am not getting on you per se but this qualifier is dumb. Dallas does not get to cherry pick opponents for handful of games like they do in college. Supposedly they have one of the more difficult schedules it is not their fault that the 49ers are not as good as this team made them look week 1. Its not their fault that Sam Bradford went down for the Rams or that the saints are not that good. They have to play whoever is scheduled by the NFL in the season. Sometimes it just comes down to the schedule, I mean if they go 11-5 but the the NFC west only has 1 winning team this year does that invalidate their record of is the AFC south only has 1 winning team. The schedule does not matter because they should try and beat everyone on the schedule regardless of their record.

How can we be?

What I do know... If we were to win it all... Irvin would feel like he won it again.

He will intolerable to his fellow broadcasters lol

San Fran...but they have done it with the gimmicky QB stuff as much as anything. The Cowboys are going to be pretty different than anything they've really seen.

But there really aren't many teams who have made a both a financial and offensive commitment to a run game recently...especially not in the NFC. There are probably only a handful of teams who run the ball well in the entire league.

The offense could become unstoppable but someone could easily beat us at our own game and just run it down our throat.

The teams we have played have a total of 3 wins between them. Let's see how we do against a 3-1 team on Sunday before any of this kind of talk.
I agree with you, but I think you could easily make the argument that the Texans are worse than three of the teams we've played, despite their records.

And, not for nothing, teams we've played have 5 wins as well.

thats true, but i dont buy into records, you can have a good record and still suck, ie Chiefs. It happens. Im not down on Dallas for winning, but dont get ahead of yourself if you know the teams you beat arent good. You want to compete for the big boys, you have to be consistent. you want to root for mediocrity, Garrett is your boy. Linehan, Callahan and Rod are doing the best they can with what they got, its not my fault the talent on Dallas wasnt used correctly, or that a few people had bad philosophies but the state of the team is, bad teams we can beat, good teams, not so much , yet .

I was happy with the offseaosn i was happy with the draft. I was ok losing to SF and im ok with where Dallas is at, but im not going to get out pom poms until i know this team can compete, from last year to this year Dallas has proven they cant. Lets see what they do to prove it.

I see where he is coming from though, humor me:

Aikman - Romo
Emmitt - Murray
Irvin - Bryant
Harper - Williams
Novacek - Witten
Great O-line - Good/Great O-Line.

Please don't reply and ask me if I am saying this person is as good as that person. Just follow the thought process.

Although the Chargers did NOT have a great run game against them, their O line was very physical with the Seahawks Defense.

Part of the reason they have those losses is because we beat them. Let's be sure to gloss over that part.

San Fran. isn't as good as everyone thought they would be, but we beat them a few years ago before everyone realized that they were as good as they turned out to be. The same is true with Kansas City last year. No one saw them coming last year. Has the thought ever occurred to anyone that is is quite possible that we are better than everyone suggested we would be before the season started?

Usually, the teams that are perceived to be bad are a liittle bit better than everyone thinks they are. Likewise, the teams that everyone thinks are all that and a bag of chips aren't generally as unbeatable as everyone thinks they are. The Rams have more defensive talent than most teams in the NFL, and we came back and erased a 21 point deficit on them. We have overcome mistakes to be 3-1. It is quite possible that without all the turnovers in the first 4 games that we would have blown out all four teams and everyone would be looking at us as this year's Seattle Seahawks. See how perception works?

What if the refs hadn't blown two sure touchdowns for us on defense? Would that have altered perception? What if the refs in the Saints game had called all of the holds on our defensive line in the last game? Would we have blown out the Saints even worse? Would our defense racked up several sacks? Would we appear to be a more dominant defense?

Will this be typical every week....
We haven't played winning teams, we need to do this next week to prove anything. We need to do thi we need to do that.

Many said we need to beat the Saints to prove we improved...now we did, and it's oh, but they are 1-3, now beat this team.
We lost a game to SF, a game we were supposed to lose. We beat a 1-0 team that beat KC, a team that just took apart NE. We beat a 1-1 team in the Rams for a very hard to do thing, win back to back road games.
We dismantled the Saints which was to be a test.

But now oh, they aren't very good....If we beat houston, a 3-1 team, it will be. well they didn't beat anyone, record not what they are.....give it a rest dudes...
