Are the Cowboys getting worse or better?

Worse is a relative term around here. I am sensing a deranged over confidence in the front office. Clearly the coaching staff knows this is a make or brake year. Nonetheless the roster is not changing at all. The Eagles, Falcons, Packers, and Vikings are already in the playoffs. Does the FO and coaching staff know something special about this roster? Have they looked at the FA activity over the past 5 or so seasons? Maybe Stephen and Will are not the geniuses we thought they were. Is the draft record that good?

It has been winter for Cowboys fans for a long time. I actually think this place is getting worse.

A bunch of rookies will do little to nothing as far as improving the team.

It will take these guys time to develop so if that’s the only place we acquire talent then on paper we are getting worse.

Sad we were the 1st seed in 2016. Now we will struggle to even make the playoffs. Last year and this year should’ve been the years to go “all in”.

Those teams are all in the playoffs? Jeeze we don't even need to play. Lets skip to 2019

We are maintaining with some minor losses of Hitchens and now Smith. Fullback is extremely minimal.

Scandrick and Ladouceur could join that list soon. Brice Butler, Jonathan Cooper possibly.

All 32 teams participate and will attempt to get better through the draft so please don't tell me how we will get better through the draft. It's a wash.

Problem is, in 3 seasons with Dallas, Irving has never played in all 16 games.

I think it's all going to rest on what Smith and Smith do this year. If Tyron is Tyron and Jaylen can actually play football, then we could be better. If either one of those guys fails, we are going to be much worse IMO.

Started free agency an 8-8 team and lost a starting LB so, we are now a 7.5-8.5 team. In this teams defense, they are fairly new at this whole "football" thing...not even 30 years....

Exactly. And not only did they miss a full season of Zeke they also had to deal with all the off the field crap that came with it.

Who knows. Not every signing pans out, obviously.

The team builds through the draft. We'll see how well that pans out starting in september.

Shouldn't do a state of the union until the offseason is complete. Right now, it isn't looking great.
