Are the Cowboys the NFC East version of the Vikings?

I suppose we will find out on Monday.

Fools gold perhaps? Vikings had a very good regular season record, yet virtually no one was afraid of playing them. I predicted the Giants would handle the Vikings easily.

I'm getting vibes from media and others that people feel the same about the Cowboys. No bite when it matters most.

I hope we prove everyone wrong, and Monday night would be a great start!

I am hoping being on the road will actually work out better for us. Is the pressure of a highly anticipated game at home to much for us to handle? Like the playoff game last year vs the 49ers. Or the 1st game of the year against the Bucs.

Actually the press was starting to climb on board... until the snoozer in with Tennessee and then the stinker at Washington.

Especially after last week, I don’t think many believe we will pull it off.

It’s because their D is garbage.

first 8 games cowboys D was a totally different D than this one now.

Watching that Vikings defense and how they let Giants WRs get wide open, it definitely reminded me of the Cowboys defense. Boom or bust - if they don't force turnovers or get sacks, it's going to be a long day

Well yeah outside of the fact that Minny’s D has sucked all year. At least Dallas’ D is kind of good

Both QB's ended the season of their respective teams with inexplicable decisions, so I'd have to agree that's a pretty good comparison.

Why do people keep comparing the Cowboys to teams that have never won a Super Bowl in their franchise's entire history.

The Cowboys went to the Super Bowl 8 times in the 56 years there has been a Supe Bowl. That is an average of 1 in every 7 seasons.

Go ahead, see if you can find more than one team that can claim better than that.

Preaching logic, Sir. The fact we did that from 1960 - 1996 says a lot. Sadly we are the old school fans that have enjoyed the wins and suffered the losses. The newer fans have yet to feel the glory of this team, hence all the negativity. Then there are those that have witnessed our dominance years ago and question our record since the salary cap. It has been hurtful to say the least. We need a real run. We need something to be proud of again.

It’s tough to say… the Cowboys won a lot of games by multiple scores, unlike the Vikings who eked out every win, including many improbable ones. In fact, the Cowboys lost most of their close games and history suggests that balances out over time. With that said, the Cowboys have slowly gotten worse as the season has dragged on culminating in the horror show versus Washington. I think people don’t fear the cowboys because recency bias more then anything, because they don’t resemble the Vikings at all.
