Underrated? Overrated? just take care of business on the field and leave the talking to the TV guys.
Fortunately, playoff seedings don't depend on how a team is "rated" or where it's "ranked" in some goofball power poll. Power polls were created to give the talking heads a way to fill some air time and beat writers a way to meet a deadline and garner some clicks.

Did you happen to see Mcadoo's pressed after that game?

I'm wondering what he's ever accomplished to be so arrogant?

The guy acts like he's Bill Parcells or Bill Belicheck in how he talks down to people. Not that they often do that, but the fact that they've actually accomplished something.
Yep, he did the same thing before the game. He downplayed the addition of Zeke like he was just another running back.

Then Zeke just tore up Collins on a collision in the game. We haven't mentioned that enough these past three days.

I'm not seeing the "genius" of Mcadoo. His offense is the weakest part of that team, by far.

The knock on Dez' route running has been overblown. He took a couple of years early on to get it down. But they do move him around the formation and he does run a variety of routes.

His real issue early on was struggling to make the right adjustments to routes based off of what the defense would do, and he and Tony would be on the wrong page as a result. Tony covered for him, but it was an issue. But even that he got sorted out by his 4th year or so in the league.

Dez is fast, but doesn't have elite speed, and good cover CBs can limit him if their good enough to stop him from high-pointing the ball. You can't really play him too physically because that's part of his game, too, so the refs let it go. So guys like Xavier Rhodes and Jenkins and Norman can more or less play him to a tie. That's fine. If you don't have a guy like that, you have to roll coverage to him. If you do, we're checked on that front, you take your chances, and you attack elsewhere. He's still a valuable piece of the puzzle, and he's capable of beating good coverage now and then, too, so you can live with it.

He's not elite, but that's ok. He's very good. And he's about to have a very good year if he stays healthy.
I think Dez will have a very very good year. Some guys just have other guys #'s...I believe that is the case with Jenkins vs Dez. I think Dez is good for 12-14 td's this year.

He doesn't have an offensive line, and he doesn't have a Romo to hide that fact.

McAdoo is just a guy. Just like most every head coach.

Yeah, we have. Don't kid yourself. There are some open wounds getting licked in Giants world. They saw what happened. The Cowboys played very average and dominated, with a young stock of inexpensive players that are on the way up. The Giants are a collection of aging free agent signings that have a cohesion problem, led by a quarterback in decline.

Don't listen to their words. Look at their faces.

Ms. Friel is probably in therapy as I write this.

Why do you suppose the Giants have a cohesion problem? Seems more a straight-forward lack of talent on offence.

If you call ZE carrying LC about 7 yards downfield like a rag doll hitching a ride on a rhino...yeah, he tore him up:thumbup:

MOSTLY it's a lack of talent IMO. They have an aging, immobile QB with a weak arm, no decent RB's and a bad OLine. VERY good WR corps that was missing it's best guy the other night. I expected an easy win ( I said we'd win by 13) but didn't think it'd be that low scoring. Gspots are overrated

Absolutely the Cowboys are being underrated. You're talking about a team that was 14-2 if we had a reason to play starters last season.

Granted, they earned part of the underrating because they didn't go to the NFCCG or the Super Bowl. If they beat the Packers and lost the NFC title game or the super bowl even, then they'd be more respected. You gotta win in the playoffs to get the respect. The Chiefs get the same thing.

There's also the fact that people saw the big defensive turnover in the secondary and they thought it meant they were guaranteed to get worse. Those of us who actually knew the team knew that the guys they lost were not difference makers and there was a decent chance they'd actually improve on defense, especially with getting guys like Tapper in the mix.

It's whatever. If they're 4-0 going into the Packers game people will still act like they haven't done anything yet, and if they lose to the Packers it'll all be back to the Cowboys not being legit.

Yeah, we get back Moore and Irving for game 5 vs. GBay and Rodgers...me LIKEY!!!!

I don't really care just as long as they go out there and play good ball. The rest will take care of itself

Discarding our effort because Odell didn't play. Wow 1 player makes a team I guess according to Carter.

Cause Carter was and is a individual player who doesn't know a thing about teams and championships. He played for a sorry organization and he is an idiot.

His number one problem is that it's obvious from the snap when he is expecting to ball to come to him.

When he doesn't he just half-arses it much of the time.

He also caused the sack on Dak by not being ready and just goofing around.

We're overrated by some underrated by others. Means nothing. Just concentrate on the next team up and soon there will be no doubt about it.

The Cowboys ratings will take care of themselves whenever the season progresses to a point where they can distinguish themselves. The regular season has just begun and we're already worrying about how they're rated? Only wins and losses will decide where we belong in the hearts and minds of any of many fans who would be interested. Until then, the ratings are mainly important for the media to have something to talk about.
