Are the Dallas Cowboys still America's Team?

The Cowboys are a special breed of team that will be "America's Team" for as long as they exist.

I say this because I have been "under its spell'' for way longer than I'm so reluctant to fess up to!

In conclusion, I should offer fair warnings to those who are addicted to this team to become free!

Pick a sport team nickname from anywhere in the world. Is there another moniker that receives as much repetitive, irrelevant, commentary as 'America's Team'? I mean, since the first time the practice ever began?

Seriously. Any soccer fans? Rugby fans? Basketball fans? Whatever the sport. You name it. Please weigh in.
hockey in Canada, Leafs like to claim they are, I say the Canadiens are as we have fans in both French and English Canada

The NBA / NHL playoffs are happening and baseball has started.

Do they really have this little to talk about right now?
The Stars man, about to make it into the WC finals. Kicked out the Avalanche 4-3 just like in 99, and will face the Oilers just like in 99. Let's hope it's gonna be another "99".

yes because it is a nick name not a title

also lol @ espn asking when all they talk about is cowboys and lebron

Please god make this conversation stop, please. I've been hearing the same discussion for half a century now. I'll be good, I swear, just please, please make this conversation stop already. Amen.

Unfortunately, yes. Their value proves it. It they ever lost that moniker ownership might try harder to win.

Cowturd is an avid Cowboys hater. Of course he will have the negative opinions.
He probably thinks the Winers are and USC football is also the top college program too. He sounds like a fool now when Riley went to SC. He is always wrong.

The Cowboys never gave themselves that moniker. It came from a 1977 NFL FIlms documentary where the title was given to them.
Tom Landry hated it and has done nothing more than paint a target on their backs. There can be 32 America's Teams as far as I'm concerned.
I remember during one Cowboys red- skins game Dexter Manley sacked Danny White and said he sacked America's quarterback taunting him.

I think if KC goes 5 and 0 in recent Super Bowls instead of 3 and 2, the answer would be no.

..that's true, I first heard the moniker on NFL game films. Probably mid 80's.

He stated, It's the Dallas Cowboys, "America's Team". ..so there's that.

Here is a more relevant question - after 30 years of nothing - DOES IT MATTER?
Only if a real fan of football...not worshiping gold jewelry. But being a real fan involves respect. Go figure... ethics involved.

:muttley:It's against the law to exit the country with more than $10,000 and not declaring carrying it.

America’s Team is the Lakers. Way more fans and actually had recent success. They receive far more support from their league as well. If the NFL has to have a representative, I’d say the Patriots or Chiefs are probably more deserving than Dallas atp. You can count the number of Cowboys fans under 40 years old on one hand.
Laker fans don't even like LeFlop.
