Nobody is taking them serious and they probably beat two of the worst teams in the league.

Although, I am hoping they can pull off an emotional upset over Atlanta, Monday night.

I think the saints will be a lot better than last season but I don't see them as a playoff team this year. I think Carolina and Alt will finish ahead of them and yes I would not be surprised to see Tampa rebound from the poor start.

They're a lot better than people were giving them credit for although they have weaknesses that will be exploited by better teams. Namely holes in the o-line and a pretty suspect defense.

The Saints are going to be a tough team to play this season, regardless if they are a legit playoff team or not.

Adding playmakers like Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and Scott Shanle have paid dividends early on as they are sitting at 2-0 and haven't played a home game yet.

Too early to say but I suspect they're about as "for real" as we were in '03 when we started off 5-1.

I don't know if they are for real, but they may not be as bad as predicted.

In 2004 they finished 8-8, and actually ended the season on a 4 game win streak. Their D-line was good, WRs above average, but Brooks was their QB.

Last year I think you almost have to throw out the window for them. Hurricane sinks the town and they basically have 16 road games. Various reports said a lot of guys just didn't want to be there, and who can blame them?

Enter new coaching staff, new philosophy, significant upgrade at QB and Reggie Bush. They lost a lot on defense, and their line is weaker without Bentley, but I could see them squeeking out 8-8 again, especially if Tampa continues to struggle.

If your asking if they will make the playoffs then i say no. They are a lot more talented than last year but their defense is still not good at all and their 2 wins so far have against 2 cupcake teams. i see them finishing 7-9 even though i think they will start 3-0 by winning a very emotional game against the Falcons

I agree. Very few teams could suceed under the conditions that the Saints went through last season. I think they are better now than last season just because there is some stability. The upgrade at QB with Brees replacing Brooks is a big factor. Still way too early to tell if they are playoff contenders, but I would say no.

It is interesting to watch the Saints offense and see the Dallas playbook. I think Petyon is doing a great job of using Reggie Bush and Deuce.

They've got a fairly rough schedule here on out, though:

Sep 10 @Cleveland Won 19-14
Sep 17 @Green Bay Won 34-27
Sep 25 Atlanta
Oct 1 @Carolina
Oct 8 Tampa Bay
Oct 15 Philadelphia
Week 7 BYE
Oct 29 Baltimore
Nov 5 @Tampa Bay
Nov 12 @Pittsburgh
Nov 19 Cincinnati
Nov 26 @Atlanta
Dec 3 San Francisco
Dec 10 @Dallas
Dec 17 Washington
Dec 24 @N.Y. Giants
Dec 31 Carolina

Yeh. I don't think we can call Drew Breeze a playmaker with his shoulder surgery and all.

:laugh2:

All is well in New Orleans:

http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/NO/9671853

Ticket sales are through the roof, the offense is putting up yards, and the defense is making key plays (Shanle has 13 tackles already).

I will definitely be rooting for the Saints this year (except when we play them), and I still believe it was a mistake to draft Carpenter and trade Shanle...:banghead:

We know Scott Shanle is a playmaker but Bush and Brees? No way:D
