Are there any players you would consider trading up to land?

And if so, what woul you consider trading? Let's be realistic in this hypo.

Personally, I'd consider trading a third or fourth to grab Lane Johnson. I'd consider the same to land Star if he fell.

I would do the same. You have to be willing to move Smith back to RT though.

Not in the first round. I would consider a trade up in round 2 if we don't go safety in round 1 and it looks like the rest of the better safeties will be gone before our pick. For instance, if Vaccaro goes in the first and then Reid and Elam go late first/early second, I would try my best to move up and get Cyprien. There are other safeties that can play, but I view those four as the cream of the crop for safeties this year.

In a perfect world the two players I think would help this team the most over the next ten years are Star and Eric Fisher. That said this team has six picks this year and will be lucky to hit on three. I'd like to see them have eight and hit on five. Add picks not lose them and dont trade future picks.

I'd move up to get Lane Johnson and I've said so here before. If he falls to 14 or so I'd be considering it. But I'd play him at RT for a year before even thinking of moving Smith again. Not sure Lane will be a better LT than Smith but it's reasonable to think that.

That makes one think who will trade down with him on the board.

this

anyone with common sense would not trade up in this draft with all our other needs

i find it ironic that the same people who scream the loudest that it is not about one player but about the team when defending tony, are the same ones talking about taking WR or RB in round one or trading up for players even though these players are not a QB

No offense, but I have no idea what you are talking about.

This. If this team was one player away then trading up would be a great idea.

This team needs more supporting pieces, though, and those players can come from the first three rounds; adding an extra pick in the top 100 would be acceptable.

I don't have a big board but I imagine the Cowboys do, and if someone is falling to within striking range that you have rated much higher then you have to keep all movement in mind. That said, yes, I'd imagine we want to pick up as many players as we can.

I do NOT condone trading up this year.

BUT to go with the premise and answer the question...

Shariff or Star would probably be the two players.
