So, we've played 1/4 of the season and currently at 2-2. Has your preseason prediction onf where this team will end up record-wise changed?

I'm sticking to my prediction of 9-7.

Which is to say that I think this is an above average team, nothing more, nothing less.

I still think the team goes 10-6 and gets in the playoffs.

I didn't make a firm prediction, but I did have us in the 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 range.

The funny thing is this team is actually better on paper than what I thought it was. I thought the defence (in particular, the secondary) would be below average and I thought the OL would kill us.

The defence has been very, very good, and while the OL hasn't been great, it hasn't been the crippling albatross I thought it would.

Complete lack of situational football IQ, bad play calling, and terrible play from Romo is what's hurt us so far, and I'm really surprised by that.

I expected more from Garrett and Romo.

So I'm sticking with my original prediction, which REALLY bothers me now because this team could be so much more.

I had this team at 9-7, 10-6.

The defense is better than expected but we also gave away two games we should have won

I'll say 10-6/11-5

I said 9-7 when the season started and I will stick with that.

I did think the egirls would win the division, but I think it is going to go to the gnats now.

It sucks because I know we can beat both the egirls and the gnats, but we will shoot ourselfs in the foot a few more time this year and finish 9-7 and out of the playoffs.:banghead:

I'll stick to it. Paper thin secondary (sensi was concussed today, and when he went out, we really were screwed) Below avg. Oline and a scatter gun QB that refuses to learn. Sounds like a losing season to me. Don't tell me about talent either.....look at the Eagles.:bang2:

I don't think it will be the Giants. They have the upper hand now but the 2nd half of that schedule is pretty difficult for them.

Above. I predicted 9-7 and I still see that as attainable.

.

For me, it really comes down to Romo's play. Bradie James and others have said "as Romo goes, so does the team." I wholeheartedly agree with that. Problem is throughout Romo's six years (as a starter) we've seen peaks and valleys with him. There is no way to gauge what you're going to get with him.

Agreed, I think we're going to string together some wins in the next few weeks. The Cowboys will be back and 11-5 seems realistic to me. This is the type of loss that will leave a sour taste in your mouth for months, I think Garrett is going to have them ready for NE. Can't wait....

I predicted 8-8 in all the prediction threads so being 2-2 at the bye is right where I had the Boyz.

Of course I didnt see the biggest collaspe in franchise history being one of those losses, and pissing away the other loss up in New Jersey.

Look some posters have said, good teams find ways to win games and bad teams find ways to lose games. Average teams can do both so I guess that what we are..........average.

Right now, we're a .500 team.

We have a running game, we just don't have a bruiser back we can trust. I doubt Garrett wants to wear out Felix with his bump shoulder. We don't have a Marion Barber on the roster anymore. So we'll keep on putting games in Romo's hands and win half and lose half, as we're doing now.

pretty much sums it up.

we arent doing **** until ginger puts on his bigboy pants. A decent coach has us at 4-0.

I predicted 8-8 but I think they can get to 10-6 but they are going to have to get on a roll and Im not sure they can do that. Its hard to get on a roll when you keep shooting yourself in the foot.

I said 9-7 as well but they are going about it the total opposite way I would have guessed. Good enough to beat anyone and bad enough to lose on their best of days.

I'm sticking with my 8-8 or 9-7, they have talented pieces, just dont think they're one or two players away, the defense will get better but need atleast four pieces to become what Ryan wants it to be and the O-line will be better but as a team, they're just not playing well, it's very spotty, although the first half was the best this team has played in three years but then they resort back to how they've played the rest of the year in the second half..

I disagree that we have a reliable running game.

It does appear to be slowly getting better but it still deserts us in short yardage which is when we need it most.

It is an 8-8 league and the Cowboys have a QB that self destructs at the worst possible times.
