Are we fine with Bryant, Williams, Beasley and Street?

I'd like to see a Special teams burner come in.. However I wouldn't spend a high draft pick on him.. Not enough balls to go around as is.. Especially when AP comes home... Cue the Say no to AP crowd..

I don't see any reason why I wouldn't be okay with that, especially after Witten is thrown in here as well.

It's essentially the same as what we had last year minus Harris at WR and it wasn't like Harris was a huge part of the offense anyway.

I'm totally fine with those four WRs going forward, Street is my new pet cat pick to be a breakout player next year. If we do add someone, I want a burner that can come in on passing downs and stretch the defense by running flys.

I'm very interested in adding another WR with size. Street is a marginal talent, IMO. Lacks burst and speed. I secretly root for him because he's local to me. He was 15 minutes down the road from me when the Cowboys called him, but I just do not see a quality starting WR there.

Hmmm, this scouting report doesn't indicate that Crabtree would be an improvement.

We're a pedestrian group if Dez goes down. There's a dropoff if any #1 receiver goes down, but I think ours is more drastic than Denver, Cinci, Atlanta, Detroit, etc. But there is really nothing out there in terms of either retreads (Crabtree, Bowe, Jennings, Wayne, Nicks) or younger players that excites me. I'd be fine looking at the position in the second day of the draft.

I'm fine with what we have. I think Street and Williams will have a healthy competition for the #2. With that said, I am intrigued with Philip Dorsett. I think he'd bring an added dimension not only in the passing game, but also on ST. I'd consider him in the second if we happen to trade out of the first and add picks. Then again, similar types probably could be had in later rounds.

I'd like to find a solid vet to get in here but we're a run first team and we would never get the true value of another guy who is a top talent as our 2 receiver.

Plus I expect Williams to take another step forward.

I think the team will take another receiver late in the draft who can play special teams at first, and then hopefully develop him into a NFL receiver

Define talented? He does not have elite measurables. He's big and strong, but not close to a polished route runner. His blocking has been questioned at times. He disappears from games at times. He has a bad back.

Here is a list of top 10 WR, receiving yards:
1 Antonio Brown
2 Demaryius Thomas
3 Julio Jones
4 Jordy Nelson
5 Emmanuel Sanders
6 T.Y. Hilton
7 Golden Tate
8 Dez Bryant
9 Jeremy Maclin
10 Odell Beckham Jr.

This doesn't even account for some of the up and coming guys. How is Dez so far and above talent wise than these guys?

Dez is not irreplaceable.

Why don't you look at that for touchdowns, since they actually win games?

I'm cool with our wr core the way it is.. I wouldn't mind adding my draft day pet cat stefon diggs. The guy can take the top off the defense and is a really good return man.

So what did Dez do to make you angry? I assume it has to be something, no rational Cowboys fan could actually have this view, right? Eighth in yards is not bad at all considering the TD's and circumstances. What other receiver on this list commands safety help every single play? Is there another receiver on the list that you know will go up and get it one-on-one if there is 8 in the box? That is why Dez is irreplaceable.

There is really no market right now for Michael Crabtree.

Texas kid, good talent, with Williams inconsistency, would it make sense for Crabtree on a cheap deal?

Granted if we get Hardy that might be it for cap space unless we restructure Romo.

I would pass on Crabtree. He has not done much and Williams is twice the player.

A solid vet is all they need really. Someone who can come in and produce immediately. Insurance if you will in case Dez gets injured or bolts next season. But, it is important to not overpay here....

Truthfully, I am fine with our receivers as they stand, but I wouldn't mind the Cowboys giving Crabtree a shot on a team-friendly deal to earn his roster spot.
