as to the topic itself, i agree that if you don't want annoying little snotheads ruining "the moment" then you should not be where they have to be - doing the LOOK AT ME I SAID IT FIRST!!! crap. however, it does suck that the draft is so "commercially driven" that the pick is made and goodell must "ceremonial it" making the entire draft take at least an hour longer than it should. it's a by product of commercialism and it sucks.

I have noticed a very good percentage in here dislike it fervently. I myself am ok with it, but now that the networks are waiting for the announcement I thought it would be the same here.

Networks only waiting because the NFL wants to make this is a spectacle.
NFLN agreed to stop doing it so ESPN would.

Local radios shows will announce their local picks early.

Since I prefer local radio coverage (CBS/Ticket) to national TV this is not a big deal for me.

I'll listen more than watch even if TV is on the channel.

The past few years I have worked during the draft, so I listened to it on the Cowboys Radio Nerwork. I did notice that I would usually post the pick well in advance of others on this board. I didn't realize I was a spoiler and irritating some of you. Not everyone has the luxury of sitting in the living room admiring Kiper and McShay and waiting on Goodell to stroll to the microphone to make it official. As a matter of fact, you hear Goodell make the announcement on the radio well before its on TV, there is a time delay on TV. If that's you, then you should stay off the computer to avoid the spoilers.

I personally like to hear it before but in order to be synchronized, are we to all agree to wait for the commissioner?

Maybe even have a specific thread for spoilers ppl and no where outside of that it can be posted/stated?
