I see kickers as so important I would use a mid to late round pick on top college kickers.

Ironically that was right after the league cracked down on using a disc under the ball. I think that got in his head because all it did was give you extra range. But it would mean needing to kick lower. Other kicker adjusted and he melted down. After an off season he may bounce back. But it might be really hard to trust him

Dude was 90% on kick. had a very small stretch with XPs but made his last ones. a full camp with the new rules in place and Maher maybe our best option to bring back. Literally as FG kicker over 2 years 90% of his kicks (btw almost all his misses were over 55 one 65) is better than gould, just got the yips in XPs those 5 in arow. again made the last xp and FG. NEVER actually cost us a game.

id bring him back as competitions with 2 other kickers let the best man win maher deserves a shot.

it was a small blip it didnt last, he literally made his last 2 kicks so mental is gone. that's not meltdown, thats having a bad game. show me the actual game he cost us vs the 3 he won ,

He set the alltime record for missed extra points. It didn’t cost us the gann my e but that’s historically bad. No doubt he won us games and had a really good season. That’s why I’d bring him back to camp. But with serious competition

This would make a lot of sense if it is us.....rebuilding the position, huge issue last year, weaken the 49ers...

If nothing else, drive up the price for the Whiners to sign him....
