I'll make make one enormous assumption here. We win in NY Dec 3rd. Not offering a guarantee, although I do like our chances.
I just see it as a must win for us to have any realistic shot.

So assuming we win that game and the redsucks lose thier remaining 5 division games, what do you think?

I'd still have to think the Giants are the favorite because the Cowboys have been so inconsistent. I think it will be pretty clear who the best team in the division is though after we play Philly and New Orleans.

I wouldn't say we are the favorites, but if we do somehow play with more consistency, we would definitily be the favorite. The giants are looking very vulnerable right now, and we should have beat them early in the year.

If our defense keeps improving, i see us winning the division. But it will be difficult with our schedule down the stretch.

Then you have to start looking at playoff seedings. I think we are a better team than the vikings.... and this is why. They got lucky against the ravens when they missed the kick to win it. Against the 49ers (in minnesota), they got lucky on a hail mary like play. So that's two games they should have lost right there.

If tynes misses that field goal against us in week 2, everyone is talking about the cowboys as one of the best teams in the nfl, plain and simple

Good news for you. You can save that "hope" for the Cowboys or perhaps the lottery. No need to waste it on the redsucks continued suckage.

We've been more consistent than the Giants or Eagles. The Giants won a game by 37 points, then lost the very next game by 21. The Eagles won a game by 28, then lost the next game by 26.

No.

I believe we need to beat the Giants on the field.

Also, we have only played 1 Division Game, so you can't say we are the favorites in the NFC.

The Giants and Eagles may have hit some bumps in the road, but you know they will play hard and be very competitive in the Division.

Most of you will laugh, but I think the Commanders will be competitive inside the Division and may well cost one of the teams a Playoff Spot.

The 2nd half schedule for the Eagles is brutal. Especially December. I know we have some heavyweights but wow.

You may be right, but consider this. The redsucks HC just suffered public castration. Do you really think the redsucks are going to effectively circle the wagons now?

And you know that came right form little Danny himself. He just acted like a frustrated fan. It's the kind of move I'd expect when of the idiots on this site to pull provided they had the power.

:laugh2:

I'm not saying that the Commanders are going to circle the wagon. I just think they will play spoilers at some point in the Season.

I just think people are getting ahead of themselves if they think the Cowboys will now blow out every team with a bad record.

I just think the NFL is pretty good at eventually figuring out what a team does well and stopping it.

I am very worried about what happens when teams start doubling Miles Austin.

For the most part, the Commanders seem to always play us pretty hard.

Not yet. The loss to the Giants at home looms large....but not as large as it seemed last week!

I think that's misleading - both the losses you're referring to came to New Orleans. Maybe we only look more consistent because we have yet to be blown out by the Saints.

Not with our schedule, its absolutely brutal.

It's barely different from New York's or Philly's. I like to look at where we stand on the various parts of the schedule:

NFC South: Dallas is 3-0, but hasn't played the Saints (and I just don't see winning that game). The Giants and Eagles both lost to the Saints, took care of the Bucs, and the Eagles beat Carolina as well. Beating Atlanta was huge, because I think they have a decent shot at knocking off one of our rivals.

NFC West/North: The Giants lost to Arizona and still have to go to Minnesota - good for us. The Eagles get the Bears and '9ers - bad for us. The Cowboys get Seattle and Green Bay - not gimmes, but certainly winnable. I am nervous about the trip to Lambeau, but at least it's not in December.

AFC West: Everybody's taken care of KC. The Cowboys lost to Denver, which is bad but not as bad as the Eagles losing to the Raiders.

Overall, Dallas has already gotten help from the Raiders and Cardinals, and we could use help from the Falcons, the Vikings and the AFC West. Beyond that, we've got to win division games.

no I dont think so. I hope I am wrong.

Anything can happen. I expect the eagles to start scoring a bunch of points and I exepect the giants to play better defense.

However, the eagles need to prove they can pass protect and the giants Bill Sheridan has shown he does not have the ability to call blitzes with the same ability as spagnaulo, they have all that talent and can not get to the qb. That is interesting.

Both the eagles and giants defenses need to show they can be the same defenses as we remember them in the next 6 weeks.
