Are we really better off at RB than last year?

Best Cowboys RBs
1. Emmitt Smith
2. Jaydon Blue
3. Tony Dorsett
4. Ezekiel Elliott
5. DeMarco Murray

Just missed: Phil Mafah

Agree with this. Dowdle is only costing Panthers 2.7 million with incentives up to 6 million for 1 year. If they meet in the middle the Cowboys could have retained him for around 4 million guaranteed for 1 year with a million in incentives, or 8 million for 2 years with 5 million guaranteed.

Either option would have possibly kept him on the team and kept the cap hit low.
Dowdle is probably not betting on meeting in the middle. If he’s active every game and repeats last year he’ll make more. 30 or so more scrimmage yards and 1 extra TD than last year and he’ll make a bit more.

Sure, it nothing to do with the OLine.

He could not get 1 yard on 3rd in 1.
It had to do with a couple things.

The offense as a whole was fairly anemic in even getting to the redzone let alone inside the 10 or 5.

When they did manage it, they still forced half the carries to Zeke.

Dowdle had 1 less TD inside the 10 than Pollard last year
