Are we trying to pull off some sort of Moneyball?

I'm starting to wonder if we are trying to pull off some sort of "Moneyball" style form of team building were we are looking at certain metrics that the general public doesn't generally perceive as valuable to sign lower dollar FA and acquire players via trade.

I'm not saying that it is a positive or a good thing, but it certainly seems like they are targeting certain players who have an athletic profile over an NFL pedigree.

Our offseason seems to have a theme... from the coaching search/hire to the FA period, to the players we are adding...

That would suggest there is a strategy beyond protecting Stevie's inheritance. There isn't. They are cheap and incompetent. We have decades of evidence.

Also, the "advanced stats" thing isn't as applicable to football as it is to baseball and basketball...too much of it is open to interpretation, in my opinion.

No.

Moneyball actually takes some semblance of work.

This is just pure laziness.

Just Jerry being cheap. Money ball was about using data to build a roster. Jerry doesn’t have a plan just who ever will play for below market price

To entertain that notion you'd first have to assume that the FO is actually a thinking, football-smart organism.
No, this group of mutts led by an octogenarian fool is just swinging at everything and hope their genius comes to the fore.
