I used to allow myself a degree of hope or excitement each year. No playoff success for decades now.

Then the Dak extension without any idea of how he'd move post injury... Then SF1 embarrassment, nothing changed ... Then SF2 embarrassment, nothing changed... Then GB happened, inexplicably nothing changed... Then it looked like we might be moving on from Dak, signed him to the highest deal ever for real reason... Then one the league's worst red zone teams last year, they try to resign the play caller, MM... Then they make the journeyman offensive coordinator who's never won anything or excited anyone the new HC...

I'm done with hope. I'm done expecting anything positive. I'll start buying back in .. a little.. when we win 2 playoff games in a row or hire an actual GM to actually be in the GM role, fully.

I'll watch it all and check this site 5-10 times a day, even in the dregs of the off-season because, well, I guess I'm addict/glutton for punishment, but I'm done believing until the team shows me or the FO shows me otherwise.
Yeah, the GM thing.

I think we win the division. I think we will go to the playoffs. As far as contending for a SB, not even close, its a shame, 52 of the 53 are good to go,, just one position is holding this team hostage.
Why do you think we'll win the division?

Im selling

-We are counting on reclamation projects, and late round picks at LB and HB. The areas could wind up liabilities.

-Our CB depth is razor thin, our Nickel CB could wind up being a guy that wouldn't make half the rosters in the NFL.

-Our run defense is very suspect, and could neutralize what could be a very good pass rush.

-OT's are very suspect

I think we will probably be a playoff contending team. 9-8 or 10-7. However, what I listed above I believe will make it very difficult to beat good teams, and limit our ceiling
I was putting us at 9-10 wins also until I perused the schedule. Going to be tough to get to 7.

To be honest, given parity, I dont put much into the schedule anymore. Its not what it was 15 years ago, and a hard schedule could wind up looking soft midseason.

Let's look at it logically"

Philly twice
Wash twice
GB
DEN
KC
DET
Minny
Chargers

That's 10 games. Do you truly see 3 wins in there? Are the Giants going to be bad? How about CHI? Car? Ari?

Going to be tough to get to 10.

Dak will get hurt again. Will miss 6+ games.
But even a healthy Dak wouldn't get it done. Oline not settled & Dline still lacks run stopper.

I think we are a better team than 2 years ago. This team won 12 games for 3 years before last year, with a bad offseason and then QB1 being hurt. I think we can win at least 12 games this year. The Eagles, going on their 3rd OC in as many years. They lost some good players to FA. And history tell us that the SB champ has a hard time making the playoffs the next year and then there is Barkley, while he did amazing, he had almost 400 touches last year, and again history tells us that backs typically fall off after that type of year.
Washington, I think they played above their talent level last year and won't be able to do it again. How will Daniels adjust to the NFL in his 2nd year, when every DC now knows what he likes to do and how to stop him from doing it.

I think we will be in the mix for sure and I like our chances. Now once we get to the playoffs, all bets are off and we are a 1 and done team.

Sell sell sell. Did nothing in the offseason to address a terrible team last year. And no, Dak's injury wasn't the sole cause. They were terrible long before that. Brought in a huge wildcard at head coach.

Light years away from a Super Bowl. Their ceiling is yet again a wild card round win and honestly, that seems like a far reach right now. Dallas missed yet another window to have any sort of success. Had the red carpet laud out in front of them in 2023 to at least end their conference title game drought but got destroyed at home by GB.

Not enough bad teams on it this year. That’s why Pickens is here. Two bad seasons in a row affects Jerry’s celebrity status.

Maybe even more casual fans will realize that him and his kid can’t get this done.

What happened 2 years ago is irrelevant to what happens this year. I am not so sure this offense is better. We added RBs but none stand out. The OTs are a big question mark. TEs dont look so good. Qb is two years older coming off injury. WRs are better.

And Eagles are superbowl champions winning it in a dominant DEFENSIVE fashion. They added 5 draft picks, their first 5 in fact to that dominant #1 defense. Why does that matter? KC won 15 games last year with their offense, never scoring more than 30 points.

And 3rd OC or not they are still very talented on offense. You can't deny that. Top OL perhaps. Great running game. Top 5 TE and deep WR group. Any OCs dream offensive team.

Washington is improved and they can make same claims as you are making

So just because in your.opinion thisnis better team than the 12-5 team they are not going to win 13....other teams improved significantly more in the same 2 year span.
