I think we tag Pickens (if he is what we believe he is) and extend Bland. We will have plenty of money for both because there are several restructures we can do if we need to. There is no reason to make a decision between the two.
Unless Prescott is bad and we want to get out of that contract as soon as possible, we'll likely restructure his $40 million base. Lamb's base salary of $25 million is also a likely target for restructure. Tyler Smith's fifth-year options is $21 million, so his new contract will bring that down. Odighizuwa's $16 million base could be targeted for restructure. Trevon Diggs' $14.5 million could be targeted for restructure, or he could be cut for a nearly $13 million cap savings (that seems likely since we will be giving Bland a big contract AND we have a young, cheaper player in Revel to likely step in ... would love to see us trade Diggs instead if he comes back strong this season, though).
