Are you glad that TO was released?

I thought it would be interesting to take a poll of user opinions on whether or not it was a good idea to release TO.

To keep from giving a third "grey area" option that I am sure most people would select, this poll will simply have two options.

I voted yes but it isn't because I thought he was the one problem with this team and everything is now sunny and bright. This team has a ton of issues and many of those would be tough to resolve with TO on the team. So my vote for yes was simply that things had to change.

Not enough option. I'm completely indifferent to it. I really didn't care one way or another. I'm just surprised they actually did it.

The poll does not care whether or not you hate TO, believe the media, etc. It is simply whether or not you think the end result (the release of TO) was a good or bad move.

Makes it less easier to say "I told you so" later no matter how it works out when there are no third or fourth "grey area" options doesn't it?

Man I don't know at this point. I really think we just won't be able to know until this team gets back on the field, whether or not TO's release was a good thing.

think it was a bad move, i think you could have traded T O. Even reports are on nfl network saying Atlanta are interested, even T O might go to Seattle or Ravens or New Orleans. I think there was trade value.

I am not knocking Roy Williams WR, I like him, but whom is your wide receiver that has produced TDs, etc.

The way its looking now, as this thread plays out, you'll be able to count up most of the posts and count them as that third "neutral" option in this poll.

Definitely trade value. Most definitely, IMO. TO and Rosenhaus will take a cheaper deal to continue to play somewhere else. TO is not the kinda guy whose going to willingly step away from football as long as he feels like he can perform - Even if it takes a paycut.

Seems that if team and Management were split on him, then it needed to be done. Can't have a divided lockerroom on a team with this many fragile psyches. It stinks that he took the "complain to the media" route he did last year because he was a great teammate in 2007.

I would guess so. But I really can't see how people who just don't care, either way, would be coming back to tell you 'I told you so.'

Maybe that's just me. I really have no rooting interest in either outcome. I'm a Cowboys fan and I'm a Cowboys fan no matter who is or isn't here.

Same here. While this team doesn't NEED his Drama, it does NEED his production. ( Which granted has been declining, I don't see another WR on the team who was doing any better ) It's a Wait & See right now.

Mildly pleased about Jerry cutting Owens since it lifts a huge weight off Romo's shoulders and can play looser. Romo can throw to open receivers, Te's and Rb's again instead of forcing ball to Owens. Just hope Jerry has a plan to get a top level wide receiver.

Agreed. But can now move on and HOPE that RW11 can step in. Better hands is already a plus.

Exactly why I did not offer a third option ..

Well I think the Dallas Cowboys organization failed. Owens was brought in as a hired gun. In his first two season we make the playoffs. He was a major part of that and we did not deliver on our end.

I cant vote yes and I cant vote no. You can make arguments for both answers being right.

Horrible move in my opinion . In no way does releasing one of the best players in football make this team better in any way . I hope all the players and coaches on this team with the little bitty feelings are happy now .
