Ever been to the old gold mine in Hueco Mountain area on the Military Reservation? Dona Anna basecamp area, up from range 40 there.

When I was stationed at Fort Bliss, there was an old miner's dugout home along the side of the highway up into New Mexico.

JJ Armes wrote a chapter about Frances Tashiro, and got a waiver from her while I was stationed in Korea. She was shot at point blank range by a shotgun, while in her New Mexico home. Her husband had lost a rather large sum of money in the Ali/Frazier fight. He described her as a temptress that frightened his senses.

Close many times but not in that exact location. I do love the mountain golf and fishin in Cloudcroft and around Albuquerque.
