Listen Dallas is one QB away from being NE...........I don't give a crap about the argument that Bledsoe is this and that statistically, has gone to this or that, has played behind a crap OL, but the sad fact is he's won BS, (OFer on SB) and getting older and can't move for squat so a bad OL is made horrendous, and a great OL average..........
How the hell did Jacksonville get in the playoffs? Ease of schedule for sure, but they do have a good QB imo...a QB I wanted Dallas to draft a few years ago when they had the opportunity.....Opportunity came knocking and Dallas didn't open the door. Leftwich is far more impressive than Manning and has been from day 1..........But I'd still take Manning over BLedsoe........
As Washington stumbles and bumbles their way through these playoffs with lady luck, that reality is something they face as well, or this will be their one good year for the next few..Any of you still wanting Bledsoe for QB is looking for a quick fix and one short trip to the SB. Nothing wrong with that, but I want consistent quality year after year, and 5 more SB's out of the next 6 years.........
So when I see NE I see a QB (and KICKER, ...who really won those SB) with slightly above average talent, but remarkable poise and character..........Will that get them to the SB this year? No, not the way they've played this year...Their record reflects that poor play....They got off easy with Jacksonville, but that won't be the case in Indy..........
Look around the NFC and see how crappy it is...Why is that? Outside of Seattle, (and Hasselbeck doesn't shake my boots) there aren't any good QB's.........Delhomme's played like crap, Simms is still developing, as is Manning,..... Bledsoe and Brunell are Tom and Jerry, (fun to watch at times but it's still a cartoon), and Chicago has someone that shows up every once in awhile. Philly has the only really accomplished, experienced youngish QB in the NFC....and when he went down so did Philly. Vick couldn't throw his way out of a paper bag. Culpepper would rather throw passes on boats, and Bulger's talents should relegate him to most excellent backup status. Need I go on with SF, Arizona and Detroit?...........Now Bret Favre, (if there's a QB I'd take at 40 and 50 years old its him, even with his bonehead decisions, because he gives 110%) is probably going to retire......
Which leaves the question of whether the SB should be played this year...
