Arkansas killing

Before you start gloating, you need to wait until they play a real football team. Enjoy the victory, but Arkansas should beat Tenn. Tech. It's sad that you have to even gloat about that victory. Remember USC. A real football team put the beat down on the Hogs.

backups in now beginning of the 4

better a UT who has to play the starter all nite

I would be more concerned about Alabama and Georgia. Remember they play the Razorbacks and they are not cupcakes.

are you a USC fan ?

but bleed Razorback RED

that was how many years ago 4 or 5

lol

different time different coach

Not a USC fan. I just hate to see people bragging about beating a cupcake.

The score was only 44-3. Arkansas probably should have had 60 or more points.

Mallett, Razorbacks roll over Tenn Tech 44-3

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP)—Ryan Mallett’s Heisman Trophy campaign began as planned, and he had plenty of help from one of the Southeastern Conference’s most dynamic receivers.
Mallett threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Joe Adams, and No. 17 Arkansas breezed to a 44-3 win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night. The Razorbacks, sporting their highest preseason ranking since 1990, recovered quickly from a sloppy start thanks to Mallett’s accuracy and Adams’ elusiveness.
Adams caught six passes for 138 yards.

Mallett’s 85-yard touchdown pass to Adams in the second quarter was the longest completion of his Arkansas career, and the Hogs led 23-3 at halftime. On the long touchdown, Adams outran the Tennessee Tech defenders down the sideline even though at least one appeared to have a good angle to catch him.
Adams also scored the game’s final touchdown, a 15-yard reception in the third quarter that included a nifty move immediately after the catch.
“Whenever I touch the ball, I try to make guys look silly,” Adams said. “Coach is always preaching to make one guy miss. I made that one guy miss, and the rest just happened.”

He missed on just two of his first 18 throws, with the only blemishes a deflected pass that was intercepted and a dropped ball by a receiver that should have been a touchdown. He finished the night 21 of 24

Everyone was on Jake Lockers jock but no way can you draft him over Mallett.

That guy is one of the more physically gifted QB's i've ever seen. He is darn near perfect.

only think I see wrong is that he makes a couple of real bad throws a game
and not that mobile

Mallet had 3 tds? Very nice.

Of course, that pales in comparison with Case Keenum's 5 td passes in the first half of Houston's 68-28 dismantling of Texas State. ;)

Which QB is more likely to become a starter in the NFL? Alright.

I have only seen a few of Jake Locker's games, but he is still projected as the first pick. Mallet's challenge will come when he faces tough defenses that can pressure the quarterback. Will he look perfect then. He wasn't perfect in some SEC games last year. Arkansas fans have a self-esteem problem. Jake Locker's draft position is not a shot at Mallet. I hate to tell you, but Terrell Pryor will be the top choice to win the Heisman if Ohio State goes undefeated. He's going to have great year passing and rushing. The Heisman is no longer simply about statistics, but your team also must win.

you mean Texas who substituted like a NFL preseason game? Texas dropped 2 pick sixes, missed 2 - 3 field goals and turned it over on downs inside the 1 (good for Rice), gave up a fluke TD pass (which wasn't a TD), a garbage time TD and got playing time for all kinds of people while rushing 46 times to get the o-line into run blocking mode. Except for the scoreboard it was a good first game for UT although I personally think their O-line is weak as pond water and their running backs are not good at all. I don't know how in the hell Cody Johnson is better than Chris Whaley but I guess he is.

I'm not sure how that's relevant, but thanks for playing. :)

You are trying to compare NCAA QBs as if stats at that level are relevant. Neither QB will win a major award or major bowl game but Mallett will have a much better shot at success in the NFL.

I ask again: how is that relevant to any discussion of college football?

Attempting to clarify a question you never asked does not support your comments.
