I've read a few articles that say Arkin is small. He is 6-5 307 lbs. I've read a few articles that said Smith is big. He is 6-5 307 lbs. Are they referring to body type? They are both considered strong and athletic.

Denver doesn't normally have huge lineman in general. No one ever complained about the multiple 1,000 yard backs they've churned out since Terell Davis. Besides, when has 307 lbs ever been small? I guess these authors have nothing better to write about. To question him because he is a rookie on a team with high expectations is one thing but to say he is small (when he isn't) is laughable.

as regards prototype OTs smith is short; however one of the reasons OTs are supposed to be taller is that they thus have longer arms; he has longer arms without the extra height which actually makes him better. He is light still; needs to add another 10 lbs or so. Growing boy.

Arkin is height wise ok; but needs more heft

Those articles have waaay too much info, waaaay too much. I did not need to know.

well, could just be the build, I know Tyron doesn't look to have an ounce of fat on him... maybe they think 6pack=bigger lol

That's a good observation.

Also, Arkin is listed at the same height as Kosier and as weighing only two pounds less than Kosier.

As for Arkin, I would like for him to gain about 10 pounds of muscle but Koiser is 6'5" and 309 so pretty much the same as Arkin.

Joe Thomas the best LT in the NFL by some is 6'6" and 312 not much more than Smith. Jason Peters is 6'4".

Anywhere from 6-4 to 6-6 is ideal for an OLT. I actually think most of the guys who are 6-7 to 6-9 are too tall and are easy to bullrush due to loss of leverage. The real key to pass blockers is long arms and large hands and Smith has those traits in abundance. I have high hopes for this kid based on his ideal frame, athleticism and maturity/work ethic.

Tyron looks worth the #9 pick to me.

Sure does. Hard to believe he's only 20. My gosh, a few years of steaks and Woicik and there's no telling how big he'll be.

Arkin on the other hand... He needs a lot of work.

Can't believe Tyron smith is 20. After the end of 2012, Jerry will be working on an extension for him.
