Who goes to one of these schools to play WR?

Back in the days of Eric Dickerson one of the top NCAA RB's in the nation was Navy's Napolean McCallum, he ended up a Raider.

I remember that guy.

Duel reasons for going to play football at those schools.
I think you know this, but they have to serve 4 years.

They go to the academies and happen to play football as well. Generally, the NFL is not the goal.
But they do give them a delay if they make an NFL roster.

These academy guys were almost all top high school students who also played sports.

As a kid I never missed it, it was a real big deal. As I got older and started to figure things out I saw what Army/Navy really were in the grand scheme of things, yep....not much.

To each their own. I spent a career in the Marines so it means a lot to some of us.

I was in the Navy, spent time in Nam. All my family was Navy, just understood....Navy.

I went to COS a local JC, I don't care about the football team. And I didn't go to Annapolis so why care about those officers being I was an enlisted man, actually a boy.

Thanks, yep, a family tradition. My great grandpa was career navy.

I've nothing against Navy per say, but I could never cheer for a team with Chet Gladchuk as AD. I've had some dealings with him and he's a complete...........
