i am just sitting in my favorite arm chair enjoying the glow of a huge win yesterday and flipping up and down Sunday Ticket--the greatest invention in TV since color.
A few things strike me:
1. what is Washington's defense doing to hold New Orleans in checK? They are flying to the ball; tackling solid and limiting run after catch. I dont think the skins defense has better personnel than the cowboys!? And, the skins are not really pressuring Brees that much. Must be the scheme and the coordinator eh?

2.I am watching the Titans for the first time in a long time just to see what Vince Young will do

3.Is anybody in North America actually watching Green Bay v Detroit? Scouting Detroit for the upcoming game: they are pathetic. I dont think there is one player on that team that i wish was on ours. Most teams have guys that you say " man I wish we had him instead or our guy" but that team is devoid of talent.
roy Williams is pretty good but we already have one talented receiver that spews stupidity out of his mouth already

4. Kamerion Wimbley was the guy in the draft that was "Ware-like" but watching him (I know he is a rook) - Ware is some much more stunningly athletic
5. Carolina is a fraud. There is another defense with high talent at many positions that isnt coming through--maybe like the Cowboys? Lets swap coordinators!

6.Looking forward to the Gints and Beagles--hope they destroy each other!

7.Appreciate Romo although he is not perfect! There is some pitiful quarterbacking going on in the league.

8, Jason Campbell looks like he has some skills

9.I fret about our seeming lack of pass rush, but to look around the league objectively, alot of teams have trouble getting consistent pass rush.

10 Pennington throws a marshmallow ball--you can just see on TV even that there doesnt seem to be the velocity other qb's have. Irregardless, he gets the job done which is the bottom line. I dont really care about arm angles and release points etc, as long as the ball gets to the right spot at the right time.

.

ditto:cool:

funny you mention Bernie--I still have my number 19 browns jersey in the closet

I guess that is what was most disappointing--our guys were playing for playoffs and seeding and Washington is playing for nothing but pride
But that is in the past--wouldnt mind another crack at the Saints

^^^

Yea, no kidding.

I'm sitting here watching the skins play with some emotion and fire, yet they're playing for nothing more than pride. With so much more on the line last week, I'm still baffled as to how we played so poorly.

You're right though, it's in the past.

This is what happens when you dont have a quality backup QB.
