Mods can you change "hamstring" to ACL? I have that on the mind thanks to our own players.

Ouch. They're having a tough off-season for that position group. They may have to switch to the 14 sets we're using, too. :)

I have a feeling that any WR we cut or try to slide onto the practice squad will be picked up by Philly.

I really liked Benn at Illinois. I thought he would be a lot more productive in the NFL with how physically imposing he is, but so far he hasn't lived up to his potential.

Just think for a moment, .. it's not that hard.

The iggles are fine with M. Vick, .. but were going to cut Cooper.

I believe the thread started out about an injury. No need to turn the the thread in a different direction.... Just sayin' (in the vernacular of today).

My thinking was, .. the thread was talking about the injury to an iggles WR, .. someone said had the injury not happened the iggles would have cut Cooper, .. and I immediately thought about the overblown big hub-bub aimed at Cooper, and then I thought, .. "Oh yeah, the iggles can tolerate a dog-killer, but not someone that slipped and in an instance said something that he regrets."

All because society and the media jumped all stiff-legged about it.

That's unfortunate I think he was a solid possession receiver for them. Also not related directly but the insider reporting is that had Maclin not been out too the Eagles would have cut Cooper. They are hurting for sure.

I don't buy that at all.
Maybe it was some kind of reaction to the recent issues.
He's talented and was plenty productive when given opportunities.
He is fine as a #2 or #3 WR.

Too bad about Benn and Maclin.
I'm tearing up for the Eagles. :D

Are you nuts? More than half of his teammates are African American. I don't care what they say in public, they are pissed. There is no trust, it is something that divides a locker room. Something like that is not a "slip". It is something he carries in his heart and most likely uses in everyday life when he is not around African Americans.

Wow, you must be closer to the situation than I am, I would have no way of knowing that he uses that term a lot.
His apology seemed sincere, and remorseful.

And if there is no trust now, and the lockerroom is divided, .. what reason would be enough for the iggles to keep him?
If what you say is true, he would be gone immediately.

I think you have over-reacted, .. like a lot of society.

I think you have never been on the receiving end of the type of comment that Cooper made.

You are right, I have not been.

And don't get me wrong, .. I am in no way condoning anything Cooper said. It is unacceptable.

But I also know that there is nothing that a stranger could say to me at a concert, that would offend me.

But if they did say something, and apologized, .. I would move on. They are not worth it.

In that same way, I think that inside NFL lockerrooms over the years, they have gotten past stuff like this, probably much more and much worse.

Just like most African Americans in the locker room with him use it in their everyday lives, too?
