Art Briles info?

Anyone in Texas hearing rumors about him coming to UCLA? Apparently UCLA offered Petersen 3.9 mil for 5 years and Petersen turned it down at the 11th hour. Now the talk is that Briles was offered the job and has accepted it.

LOL, doubtful, rumor mill is just throwing all against the wall. Briles makes 1.8 million at Baylor and he is way too Texan to move to California, where he would be a much diminished recruiting force.

Briles has many of the attributes Mike Leach has in scheme, but with better balance and run blocking.

I don't foresee him leaving Baylor anytime soon, if this rumor has any substance it's about like 1986 when USC tried to hire Grant Teaff away from Baylor, it would've not ended well for either Teaff or USC as Teaff was a monster recruiter in Texas and too Texan to operate in LA, same story with Briles.

I don't believe it either. It's to bad that Dan Guerrero would let his personal relationship with the AD from texas Tech scare him off of Leach. I would have been more then happy with Petersen or Leach.
