Formerly the most sought after high school wideout in Texas, and ranked number 3 nationally as a recruiting prospect in 2013, the lackluster career of Robbie Rhodes comes to an anticlimactic end as Baylor dismissed him from the team for violating team placed sanctions on him for drug behavior.
Rhodes reportedly failed a second drug test this summer after being arrested for pot possession scarcely two months ago, Briles had enough and decided a clear message was necessary that not even five star recruits expected to start are above dismissal for violating team rules.
Rhodes is expected to transfer to an FCS school so he can play this year without sitting out.
