Mr.Blank was asked if he makes decisions on firing o.c. or d.c.? He said that is Coach Quin decision. That why he has a Gm and a head coach.Refreshing to hear.

Falcons owner should have been refreshed for giving Ryan a huge payday after he tossed that lob in Philly and letting the Egals advance.

Great owner whose methods have garnered him numerous football championships. Oh, wait. He also conned Atlanta into building a new stadium even though the Georgia Dome was really not that old and had recently gone through major($300 million) renovations.

He isn't a big fan of JJ. I'm pretty sure that was a direct jab at him.

Thats the way most organizations run. Owner stays in the owners box and trusts in the football professionals he hires. Most owners have no time, talent, or expertise to get involved. A few owners don't get it. One of them is ours.

City paid 200 million out of 1.5 billion. I'm not a Blank fan but he conned nobody. Most of the funds for the stadium came from his own pocket and PSL sales.

GA Dome was 25 years old and not a great place to catch a game. I went to the Cowboy game this year in Atl, and MBS is the nicest stadium i've ever set foot in and that includes Jerry World.

The $1.6 billion stadium was underwritten by $248 million in local bonds. Once taxpayers pay those off, they’ll then write the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons an annual check for stadium operations and upkeep. Our calculations suggest taxpayers will pay around $1.02 billion over the course of the deal. Combined with $77 million in sales tax rebates, infrastructure investments and city-provided land, locals could be on the hook for more than five times the initial $200 million estimate

Also heard concessions are priced fair there

MEANWHILE, GO PATS!
Pittyburger needs to have company with those Lombardi's. One can bet ALL Steelers fans are cheering for the RAMS.

They didn't raise anyone's taxes. They are paying for maintenance with a portion of an increased hotel tax. So, its visitors to Atlanta that are picking up the tab. The sales tax rebates and all that is money the city would never see anyway if the stadium didn't exist. So, it is not lost revenue. It is revenue neutral.

Personally, i'm glad the "public" money is being spent on something people can actually enjoy. With all the waste and corruption in Atlanta city government, its nice to see something useful come out of it. The building of that stadium and continual upkeep feed a lot of people and local businesses. To suggest that Atlanta does not benefit from the stadium is absurd, but some folks have an agenda.
