So much potential wasted in AB, it's a real shame. I am rooting for him to turn it around, as long as it isn't with an NFC East rival.

And yes, I'd even consider bringing him back here if he shows some humility. We could use a talented receiver whose age doesn't start with a "3".

Good Point:bow:

It will be interesting to see if he even gets a 4th chance in the league.

Who was the poster who criticised his release by Parcells? His release by the Niners makes it three teams he's alienated after his first year. In Cleveland, their top two receivers were coming off season ending injuries and they still dumped him. That says alot. What a complete loser. With any luck, another NFC East rival will take a chance on him. Maybe the Skins, and he can knock heads with the other guy they signed from the Niners. I hear he's a dick to.

I did at the time......as I was a fan of his huge talent level. I remember watching him as a rookie in S.A. training camp and man, did he have the moves.

I cannot believe his attitude has not improved one little bit, therefore, I was wrong for going against Big Bill on this player.

I think most people felt he needed to go .... but also felt like we could have gotten something from him instead of just cutting him .....

But the guy is a world class idiot.

I did not like the way Parcells handled Bryant. If Antonio needed to go, then he should have been traded or cut within days of throwing his jersey at Bill. That didn't happen. They waited until the trade deadline to get rid of him. Keep him or get rid of him instead of letting him linger around for a while. I didn't like that indecisiveness.

I wonder how much of that was Jerry not wanting to let him go.

Seems like they were making the best of a bad situation.

He had to go, but if you can get something for him, why not? Philly acted similarly with TO last year. It's just keeping all your options open.

That guy will look back one day when he's old and say to himself, what the "F" was I thinking? I could've been great, but I let me mean self-centered attitude get in the way.

I thought that we traded him to Cleveland for WR Morgan(?).

I have to admit it, I believed Parcells gave up too soon and the kid would turn it around. Looks like I was very wrong.

He was

2004: Traded from Dallas to Cleveland for WR Quincy Morgan on Oct. 19 ... With the Cowboys, appeared in five games, including one start and totaled 16 receptions for 266 yards ... Recorded 42 receptions for 546 yards and four touchdowns (13.0 avg.) as a Brown and was 58-812-4 (14.0 avg.) total during the '04 season ... Became the first Browns receiver since 1989 to have back-to-back 100-yard receiving games with 8-131-2 receiving at Cincinnati (11/28/04) and 7-115-2 receiving vs. New England (12/5/04).

McNabb is not in the same league as Jones and Bryant. Even as bad as Bryant is, he is not near as bad as Jones. Pacman has set the bar.
